Featured Replies

My brake pads on the rear of the car have jus gone so i have ordered new grooved discs and pads to replace them with. I have also ordered grooved 312 TT front discs for the front but cant decide on what pads to replace the fronts with

Any suggesetions on pads for the front?

Any to stay away from?

Also how easy / hard is it to replace the brake fluid ?

I just went with a set of oem tt discs and pads from ebay and can't fault them really.

Any other recommendations on pads to use?

Maybe EBC greenstuff

But, the OEM ones will do just fine as they're much bigger than the stock ones anyway and you'll save yourself a bomb

throw some ebc greenstuff on while your there then, or you could try any decent aftermarket pads, from a auto factors ie ferodo, bosch, mintex etc if you want something s little cheaper, they should be much cheaper than oe.... emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Ferodo DS2500 or Mintex M1144.

I have M1144 on mine and stopping power is awesome!

I'd second the call for DS2500 - had them on my Corsa and the had very good bite from cold, and never faded in the time I had them, during which they were worked very, very hard!

I have Pagid oe's on me 312's and they are great, cold, hot whatever, they feel very progressive.

Kev - where did you purchase your Mintex pads from?

Thanks for the help all

The discs on the car at the moment are Brembo hi carbon discs and pagid pads, but I haven't been overlly impressed with them to be honest.

May just keep the front pads and just change the discs and see how I get on.

Is there a guide on here of how to change the pads and discs?

How hard is it to change the brake fluid?
