Checking on previous cars owned

Featured Replies

If you click on 'vehicle enquiry' and fill in the reg, and manufacturer, it shows if it's taxed or SORN'd.

What i want to know is that if it isn't taxed or SORN'd, will that mean it's been scrapped?

If that's the case, a classic nearly mint Anglia 105E that I very reluctantly sold 10 years ago would seemingly have now gone to the graveyard. :'(

I do hope this isn't true.

I've just checked my previous car. I used Austin and also Rover and got the same result.

Vehicle details could not be found

As it has not been possible to locate the vehicle details, your enquiry cannot proceed and has been cancelled.

Which is perfectly OK as 4 years ago I sold it to a scrap yard and got £30 for it.

My AX GT is currently on a SORN..

It was registered along with another identical 29 on 01/01/1988 within a batch of numbers from 691 to 720.

Every single one of them bar mine are showing due tax dates ranging from 1994 to 2004. None of them SORN'd, so I can only assume mine is the last one of the batch still remaining. :(

Surely it wouldn't be asking too much for them to include such info on their site, including 'now scrapped' .

I absolutely cherished that car and would love to know it's whereabouts,or at least that it's still in use/storage......or not if it's been scrapped I suppose.
