Corsa chav lad treading on thin ice

Featured Replies

I'd also suspect than they are declaired No moddifications despite being far from standard and hence also uninsured if they where in the first place.

While I have to say the anti violance against kids and women is something I think worth keeping. It has been taken far to far in schools though. I remember in my fifth and six year of high school the junior years were a lot more scared of us than the teachers mainly becuase they quickly learned that we would beat the stuffing out of them if they pushed it.

I remember being told later that our finaly year was one of the best for behavour the school had for a long time and even the teachers admitted that was mostly due to us ruling the school. Heck we where even forced to help out in some classes which we later found out was because of behaviour issues and having one sixth year in a class room kept the class undercontrol enough for the teacher to teach.

Though having spooken to someone who's left school more recently they said they were called into the heads office for hitting one of the 3rd years dispite the 3rd year throwing the first punch. How are they going to learn "Don't start nothing, Won't be nothing"

Good god almighty.

I almost regret saying this all those months ago.

Why?

Beacuase my prediction was absolutely spot on, and according to his deeply upset mother, "he was lucky to get out alive" after wrapping his newly aquired Pug 306 around a sign post exiting the M6 whilst driving too fast.

It was all so predicrtable though most sadly.

Hasn't stopped him going out and buying another one though mind, and oh yes, predictably it's "taught himself a lesson", apparently, so he says. :|

We'll wait and see on that one.

Meanwhile, away from fairy land, this troublesome young big headed little runt has just last week managed to write off his 2nd car within 2 months. Worse this time though.

Head on driving at 'only' 50 down a country lane with 3 of his mates on board. Blaming the other driver for being on the wrong side of the road...so he reckons.

3 of them have broken bones, and apparently the one who escaped unscathed was bragging that he wasn't wearing a seat belt.

Couldn't make this up, really.

I've now heard he's back on the road with a 3rd car!! :swear:

I fear worse is to come, but sincerely hope I'm very very wrong.

As for 'chav lad in his 3 cylinder 1.0 Corsa Touring Car, he continues batting around the estate, and on satyurday evening, nearly ran me off the road, barging his way past parked cars on his side of the road, elbow leaning on opened window, horrendous booming noise coming from within.

He'll hopefully be hearing a slightly different noise shortly. The sound of plod knocking on his front door.

We've got a lad who belts around every weekend in his cross bike no licence, the police waited for him the other day got him, no more bike, get in!!!

Trouble is James, for every trouble making scumbag they manage to get off our roads, there's another 10 waiting in the wings to replace him. :dull:

If this is his 3rd car and 2nd write off, chances are insurance is getting too expensive. Have you run it through askMID? Could be an interesting result.

Haven't got the reg. Trigg.

I've been led to believe that he's not claimed for either wrecked car, and as a consequence his insurance won't know about his 2 write offs...so far.

His father has quite unbelievably financed his vast (for 3 months) 'fleet' so far, albeit all reletively cheap Pug 306's.

I feel so sorry for his mother (my s.i.l) as she's a really lovely girl that doesn't deserve this crap.

As much as I don't like him, his mother naturally loves him.

I fear for the future for them both, especially her, but it's absolutely out of my hands and in essence, none of my business I suppose.

The words 'imortal' and 'imoral' are springing to mind here reading that.

Just hope he doesn't take some decent innocent law abiding citizen with him when the seemingly inevitable happens.

Rather Ironicly I used to drive* that road every weekend a few years ago and having done the run recently. I'm not sure who it is but I realy can't see how the hell the police haven't caught the person as it's a road you'd stuggle to break an avarage of 80+ on even in a super car.

Also either someones been creative with the quotes or they realy need to give these officers pursuit training as the road at Loch Lubnaig side is pretty straight actually and the only other corners would presumably be blind bends if he's traveling at the speeds implied in the artical.

I should point out that 1. no it isn't me 2. I don't know who it is 3. I'm not condoning dangerous driving.

Just knowing the road and having traveled it in a lot of quick cars and a couple of slow ones over the years I know you can generate what feel like some crazy closing speeds in the same direction by being in a quick car and knowing the road. But I've also seen some people who obviously don't know the road fly past over tacking in places they in no way can have any idea if there is oncoming traffic. And the mobile roadblocks doing 20-30mph down to 10mph in the corners they are just an accident waiting to happen. One that still makes me believe some people should not be allowd to drive outside of citys and possibly large motorways was a small car (Micra I think) breaking below 20mph infront of a fully laden fuel tanker on a -1/3 gradient.

*or been in the car

Also being a regular driver on that road there are a lot of the living dead on it doing 40mph everywhere or even worse 30mph on every corner and 70 on the straights.

And they regularly get upset when you blat past them.

Not it's not me either. But I think I've experienced his driving and it's a gray Nissan Almera not an Astra possibly.

my fist car was a 0.8l daewoo matiz, i used to try and drive everywhere at speed, although it didn't like it! i soon realized it was pointless as i just looked like a d*ck and stopped. i then got my octy, and whilst i am partial to some quick cornering i know where the limit is and would never push it on public roads, yes i may only be 20 still but still i know my car now and dont push it too hard. my mate had a 1.0 lupo and he managed to roll it on a near straight road, not quite sure how, but like has been said it isn't all youths but its the ones doing all of this that make people come to the conclusion that ALL youths are driving like this, you don't notice the people doing good as much i find!

also i would like to add i have only been pulled once,(front no. plate fallen off).

my mate had a 1.0 lupo and he managed to roll it on a near straight road, not quite sure how

It never ceases to amaze me how many people can do this.

I don't get this either. I've heared of a few people who've done this, men and women. Only thing I can think of is swerving to overtake or swerving back in after an overtake to avoid incoming.

It takes very little to roll a car, clipping a parked car or kerb at the right/wrong(!) angle, sliding a bit sideways (perhaps off road) and it digging in etc. etc. It takes no speed at all on the flat, even less with the assistance of a slope.

Remember the clip of the old woman who rolled her car on a garage forecourt?
