Inspired by Vrs Bob's pics of his snow socks in action (thread here) I think we need a proper thread devoted to all your pics of octavias in the snow.

I'll start:

This morning, Oxfordshire. Its about -4, not much snow as you can see, but its been so cold that that is actually snow from TUESDAY that still hasn't melted.

And one from the weekend. This is up in Yorkshire, somewhere near Keighley - my Vrs next to my brothers Scout tdi. Nice blue sky as you can see but its still sub zero.

S'what I thought too until I saw & got this one!

Question-

I have winter steelies with VW T5 centre caps to go on. Black or silver rims on this car?? They're black now, but can paint them easy. I'm leaning heavily towards black, as they are 16's & they won't look too small at first glance?

What does everyone think?

Took this the other night after being out in the car its a little blurry but you get the idea :)_MG_2772%20%5B1024x768%5D.JPG

Mine are black but cant tell in the pic above for the snow  , and they look ok, suppose could use normal silver wheel trims instead of painting them ?

where did you get the centre caps? i need a set too :giggle:

Hmm, steelies have new Seat trims with them so I'll try 'em, but not keen TBH

In the Summer. Yes :S

Yes that road up to the Dog + gun would be a bit tricky now  Mind you my brother lives by Saddleworth moor and they have had more exposed and tricky conditions than us but councils and ploughs done everywhere and no schools closed!

This was the top of my road on Thursday, after clearing the car but before going anywhere.

Next stop, 200m down the hill is a T-junction...

Got down, to the shops and back up again no problem, didn't slip at all. Passed a bemused Freelander on the way back - he clearly doesn't understand the concept of winter tyres and clutch control

My sugar frosted Octy this morning, almost considered possibly perhaps getting the shovel out maybe :giggle:

And that's the worst we've had so far. We seem to be getting hardly any. :wonder:

Have been seeing gritters though, got a nice broadsided blast from one the other day :S

This is mine right now, not going anywhere:

We've got about a foot of snow and had -14 last night (and its still -11 outside now at 11.00 am).

Its COLD!

More snow forecast for us in Oxford later today.

Another excuse for a photo!

It's raining now and the forecast for the rest of the week is 4 degrees C so most of it should melt in the next few days. I'm looking forward to driving normally again!
