The mother of all winter tyre threads

Featured Replies

So, after a lot of soul searching, and eating large amounts of humble pie, I've decided to invest in some proper winter boots :S

I've read all the threads, and taken on board all the comments, weighing up all the pros and cons, and decided that they must be a good idea

As you can imagine, supply currently can't keep up with demand, especially in the correct size, but after doing lots of trawling on the 'net, and making numerous telephone calls, I finally tracked down the ones I was looking for

So, with heartfelt apologies to all those who may have thought I was taking the mickey. here's a sneak peak........

Snow tyre prices have gone through the roof recently - some have doubled. I dont need any this year as I have a 4x4 at present (Bongo) but wont next winter , so I will look for wheels and winter tyres when they are back to sensible prices.

Make a note to buy your winter gear in August.
