Skoda Superb Scout?

Featured Replies

Seems feasible enough and would compliment the 170CR 4x4 when it's eventually available. Would make a nice alternative to the Allroad.

Not sure that the Octavia Scout's Proteus 17" alloys fitted in the pictures are big enough for the Superb.

I also notice that it gets the same front fog lights as the Octavia Scout which begs the question, where will the DRL's go when they become mandatory?

Currently on the Scout the front fogs are replaced by LED DRL's meaning that you loose the front fogs completely which seems a little strange...

As it is no doubt a test mule of some kind they have stuck on any old alloys. No doubt it will get a new set of 18s if and when it is released.

Air suspension would be nice but unlikely.

There is already a 4x4 CR 170 this would have to replace it as they are rare as hens teeth. They sell so few of them I think the 4x4 in normal ride will go. This would align it to the Octavia range. Maybe?

I think and hope that it will happen. In the UK you can no longer factory order the Audi A6 allroad, and there is no public announcement of its replacement in the much larger new version of the A6 Avant. This vacuum would allow Skoda to introduce a Superb Scout without cannibalising A6 allroad sales. This of course doesn't take into account the perceived quality/prestige and badge snobbery issues - just the functionality of an on/off-road hybrid (application, not power). I've got no hang-ups myself as we have both marques in our family, and a Superb Scout would be just perfect.

Yes now its finally here ! in a few weeks its ready for order !

I personally don`t see any point in scout-models. Only very few people benefit from the little better off-road possibilities, I could easily say that 98 % of those who buy scout, would be just as happy with normal 4wd-model. :bandit:

Had both Oct II 4x4 & Scout. Bump the bottom less often & less stone chips on the front with the Scout. Prefer the look of the Scout but if it wasn't there I'd be happy with the plain 4x4. Will be adding Superb 4x4's to my look list when the time comes. Yeti's too small although allegedly a brilliant car. :giggle:

yes i agree ! That there is almost no sensible reason to buy scout ! But i need a change after three superb I and two superb II. The new model is called scout so it could be a scout light ?

A later spyshot than OP

i would say http://www.bt-design...uperb-bt-cross/

I do not think Skoda will Launch Scout with SuperB 2...It does not make any sense..If I'm correct superb 2 is on the market since 2008 it is time to face lift it or even launch Superb 3

Some tome ago i spoke with BT-design and they confermed that this modification is without DRL light but what i know all cars built after 2010 should have DRL's as standart

So MOT fail is guaranteed with this Tuning

yes i know about this but the one im talking about is suposed to official ! But could be a coperation with this builder ?

i think Superb III is planned for MY2015 so in may 2014 production ?

I bought our Scout for it's looks. The 4x4 is a bonus but not essential. I wouldn't have the standard 4x4 as it looks like every other Octavia estate.

Incorrect I think...quoted from another website..."As a result of European legislation adopted in 2008 dedicated daytime running lights (DRL) have been required on all new types of passenger cars and small delivery vans since February 2011."

Note this applies to new models and not new derivatives of existing models. I'm not clear as to whether it would be mandatory on a facelift model if not substantially different to current Superb II.

Maybe you are right i really do not know have it works in really but this is what i have heard ....

i wonder if it will get the 170 cr in combo with dsg ? Could be that vag holding it back to protect sales on passat alltrack ? Some say only manual and some say only 140 cr ! What do you think ?

All the talk of a Scout model is getting a little boring now.

The lastest two links on this page, do not indicate a scout model.

The 1st is a standard superb with new bumpers. Ride height appears the same, as does the 18" Thermisto alloy wheels. - Surely a scout would have smaller wheels and a higher ride etc?!

The second is not an official model....

by 2015 i would also expect a new engine, and Uk legislation would have taxed it off the road, and all cars need to be one wheel drive to conserve the planets fuel supply.

Bored ?.....im not ! I have said before that its not a scout....but some probably a light version ! Acording to my dealer its ready for ordering at the end of this month ! This info is for norwegian market !

It could be like the offroad package like Yeti ?

But you can already order a rough-road pack for some markets (Higher (158mm vs 139mm) with some under-body protection)

the vehicle in these images, dont look raised at all - just appears to have plastic'y bumpers!

Al.

yes its called bad road kit ! With higher ride height and a think aluminium cover under engine ! But this is something else. My dealer said some sort of scout. So i imagine that i could be only optical like the ekstra kit for the yeti ! Plastic covers new bumpers. Alu details..... ?

has anyone had a look closely at the rear pics in this spyshot link?

The badges read "BT" which could mean use of the new VAG twin turbo 2.0CR and the other badge is "CROSS".

This could be a model somewhere between the 4x4 models and a scout with model performance to boot?

hope it has this engine as i want more power, even after a flash tune.

Heath
