Well, I was walking round my car de-icing this morning, and noticed that I had a snow buildup in and behind the LHF arch, but not the RHF.

Now, some of the roads here are dodgy, but other bits are ok for 50ish, so I'm using the turbo a bit. I'm thinking that this is de-icing the RHF arch.

Most likely, quick bursts will see the intercooler warm quickly..

Does your car have a vent in the wheel arch?

I know for the Fabia you can add one by using a DIY louvre vent thing for a pikey mod.
