SD Card

Featured Replies

Hi all I have downloaded music on to my SD card and have put it in the slot on the music system. One the scree it says it is reading it then nothing No SD comes on on the system. I have put the card back in my laptop and yes the music files are there. The card has worked in the past to download tracks in to the car.

Start with the basics such as reformatting the card and just putting one track on and work from there.

How old is your superb, depending on its age it may only read a max card size of 2GB. I guess you have the columbus headunit , early ones had a 2GB limit.

Oh- And you can't just close the door and let it do its thing... The engine has to be running, or after a few minutes the transfer will stop. Superb II Columbus headunit accepts SD cards up to 32GB I believe, no more. I have a 64GB card in my camera which was royally ignored- I used a 16 GB one instead, which is close to the limit anyway if you have the SatNav software installed.

PS Beware adding audio files afterwards- It creates a new folder within the existing folder which leads to much frustration and swearing (at least in my case!)- Make sure ALL your desired music is on the card, and if you subsequently wish to add tchoons, start again with a freshly updated card...

Only Columbus's with the latest firmware will accept 32Gb cards, and the firmware is very recent. Otherwise you either need to have the firmware upgraded or stick to 2GB non SDHC cards which were the only ones supported prior to the update.

My Bolero radio accepts a 4 gig card, does that mean it will accept a 32 gig as well?
