The only benefit i can see at the moment to buying at a dealer for a 10 month old car is that they will take your old car as a trade in. They won't offer any extra warranty on top of that already remaining on the car.

Now that the 0% finance deal has ended and the price of a new VRS has increased I'm hoping that someone may be interested.

If I was buying another VRS I would seriously consider paying

Its true! I dont suppose the Berwick Advertiser has an online advert section on its internet site , but that is the price its up at in todays motoring section! Will this mean a stampede to North Northumberland?

I must confess that if I was spending that sort of money on a second hand car ( as that what it is regardless of age) then I would not be buying private, as I would want redress if there were any problems as the "why is this being sold ?" question comes to mind.

Having looked quite intently at depreciation values of new cars when I was choosing mine, I dont see many cars that are worth within

I paid 10495 for my 4x4, 6 months old, 1400 miles & we paid 14495 for the Diesel L&k estate new from a dealer so I guess I should be happy, 2 cars for the price of an STI 7 & both better cars IMO

uptheposh I wish you luck with your sale regardless of my opinion on the price. I think you should be prepared for a long wait and a lot of haggling at the end of it, that's all.
