Do 2005 Furbies need a different device? Something about twin K wires that weren't on older cars?

I got Jeff to sort mine too. There are a few things that can be set using VAG-COM. I am also thinking of getting the software and lead now tha SWMBO has a laptop. ;)

no, there is same interface as on older models.

It's probably going to be purchased soon after me getting the car. Those options look good though :D

 Never mind mate!

Help is at hand :D

:rofl::rofl:

It would be funnier if it was not true :D

Before you can do more than search for faults with VAG-COm, you need to part with the princly sum of $100 to register it.

 They've kept that pretty quiet on all the ebay auctions!!!!

well they are only selling the lead, with the shareware version. All you can do with that is search and clear fault lists.

Think that's a bit cheeky of them - but then again, they'd probably sell fewer units if they were honest about that extra hidden cost... :rubchin:

It's why I will probably just buy the whole package new, that way it's less hassle.

Also you can buy one with built-in dongle rather than messing about with separate ones or licensing ;)

I have Autolock and Alarm arm and disarm beep enabled on my Fabia

Not condoning piracy but has anyone considered downloading VAG-COM from Emule, get the full version FOC. However I would advise everyone to pay of course... :)

I was thinking this very question this morning.

Why oh why doesnt my car doors lock upon driving off? It did on my Clio, I think I had to hold the lock button in for a few seconds with engine off for it to work.

I'd like it again, so is anyone near Gatwick Airport who can do this for me? I don't mind paying a couple of quid or so.

Handy feature. In the US, when you stick the automatic into Drive it automatically locks the doors, or alternatively it sometimes only does it when you actually move.

Can't unlock the doors except for manual override when the car isn't in park.

The version you download from Rosstech is the full-version, it just needs a valid serial key to enable all the features ..... ;)

If you don't get any joy from the locals, pop into your dealer as they'll probably do it for free :D If you want to take the codings in to show them what they need to do, they can be found in the VAG-COM howto in the articles section on Briskoda.... :)

Chris

I know it's not the same but if you forget to lock your car or are sitting with the car off for a certain period of time the car automatically locks which I think is great coz I tend to forget to lock the car quite often.

I'm gonna be heading to MK next week and was wondering if Pilling could enable the anti-hijack option for me and if they'd charge.

Cheers

Not noticed this. I have noticed that if you unlock it and then don't open any doors for 30 seconds, it locks itself which is sometimes useful and sometimes annoying :D Any idea the length of times for it autolocking? Maybe it's something that can be enabled in VAG-COM? :)

Chris, you're right it will only autolock if you unlock the car but do not open any doors after 30 seconds. This is enabled as default from factory.

If no-one is local, I'll print them off, cheers Chris.
