Yeti 2012 Model Year-Wish list.

Featured Replies

With the long lead times for delivery at the moment some may get the 2012 model, which I understand changes around week 22.

These are what I would like to see added, in my priority order

LED running lights, discrete like the Fabia VRS

DAB radio

Power fold mirrors

LED rear lamps

Anybody any thoughts on what might be changed or added to the 2012 model.

  • The double sun visors that are available everywhere else. Even if it was an option!

+1 and in the exact same order.

I would also like adaptive cruise control. emoticon-0144-nod.gif But since not even the Superb has that there is little hope of this.

Furthermore I'd like a part colour coded rear bumper and not the half ar**ed black affair the car currently has.

And finally MDI as an option.

Either link the mirror heaters to the rear screen heater, or put a timer/tell-tale light on the mirror heaters.

The current arrangement is wholly unsatisfactory.

+1 again... and since we are going to details like that, I'd also like:

- a clock display on the Bolero

- seperate volume settings for pairing volume and speaker volume when speaking to someone

- a USB charging socket in the Jumbo box

- a USB charging socket (or two) in the storage area on top of the dash

- a middle seat that can slide like the others

- a middle seat that can be easily stored upright (ie moving the vents and Jumbo box a tiny bit forward)

- outter seats that can be slid inwards without having to fold them first with infinitely variable positions (like a Ford C-max)

- a cover to close the boot when the middle seat is used as an armrest

- inertia real retractors for the parcel shelf cords when they are not attached to the hatch

- a DSG gearbox with + at the back and - at the front

Being that I hate DRL's with a passion, they won't appear on my list. Ever.

As a purchaser rather than owner

1) Rear speakers on the 'S'

2) Spare wheel option on the Greenmotion - reduce the weight some other way

3) Reduce the prices; they are getting beyond the edge of acceptable now...

4) Bluetooth without having to re-mortgage

-Power folding mirrors

-Ashtray with light in front of gear stick :)

-Ashtray and bottle tray in the back of the arm rest to not open on touch

-all interior light to be replaced with LEDs

-all exterior lights replaced with LEDs

-more external AV inputs

-interior lights in doors

My 2012 Yeti model year wish list includes others wishes:-

- colour coded rear bumper

- LED running lights, discrete like the Fabia VRS

- DAB radio

- Power fold mirrors

- LED rear lamps

- the big SUNROOF back again

- more paint colour options

- option of DSG on all engine choices

- RS version

- with heated leather bucket seats

- R32 V6 normally aspirated engine with high torque

- plexiglass all round except for windscreen

- active air suspension with modes: AUTO, LOW, HIGH

- controllable 4WD modes: ECO, AUTO, PERMANENT 4WD 50:50 Front/Rear

- 1300KG weight with liquids, half tank of fuel, no driver

- fuel burning heater option (as other markets)

- speedo with 30, 50 and 70 numbered as these are very common speed limits.

- two dial binicles angled towards driver, not straight. As you can not quite see all of both with both eyes. The inside edges are visable to one eye due to the shrouds which I find a bit distracting.

This please and i have money and a kidney waiting :giggle:

all weather tyres especially on the 4x4 versions.

mirror heaters linked to the rear screen heater.

heated front screen as standard.

projector halogen headlamps for all models up to elegance (which has HID as we know)

now why did they change them to normal halogen reflectors between me placing an order and collecting my yeti??

2.0 TSi turbo engine option, 2WD will do , no problem. The adjustable suspension and a sensible price.

If that comes up, I think I'd go for that and chop my Yeti in for one.

A vRS version with say a 200bhp diesel engine, about 300ft/lbs of torque, but still doing 40+ mpg!

If it could be lowered by an inch that would be great too, then it would fit under my garage door (the sole reason I went for another Octy and not a Yeti this time round).

Oh and up the towbar noseweight limit to 100Kg.

Perfect!

Only two wishes:

1) 1.8T engine with DSG , and paddle shift on steering wheel. Than it would be nice.:)

2) Sport seats with all fabrics as option

(Maybe it would be nice to have Low range as option and 4x4 lock but in my opinion even without this option it is more capable that most of 4x4s) In my opinion, maybe you will agree, it is best combination of 2 worlds- sport + 4x4 vehicle right now on market--> and best of all for very affordable price.

Most of people do not buy this car because of this, but nevertheless it has this capabilities and as a driver I fill niiice :D especially when I see Clio Sport driver's face when I pass him in draft race :D

My list to Santa:

-foldable side mirrors

-rollo instead of hard boot –cover

-memory seats on passenger side

- radio pre-settings, instrument light setting and rain sensor on/off, linked to memory/key

-automatic rear view camera

- dsg-shift on steering wheel

-cover when middle backseat is used for armrest

-dsg driving-pattern teach-in, linked to memory key

-heated steering wheel

-heated rear seats

-brighter boot-light

-more fuel tank capacity

-backseat radio aux with sound/track controllers

-electric open/close hatch by remote

To get one without waiting for half a year+

I would also like to add.............

Remote tailgate open/close as on the Superb

Illuminated ignition switch so you can find it in the dark OR push button start/stop

& Heated rear seats like the front

And all that's already been mentioned.

Oh and we forgot about KESSY! Keyless entry.

Anybody any thoughts on what might be changed or added to the 2012 model.

DSG on 1.4 TSi .

Option for 16" Alloys on Elegance Trim

DAB Radio - compulsory for 2012?

Roll Cover for luggage bay

USB socket on top of dash for direct connect to add-on SatNav.

DSG on 2 WD diesel

Racing blue paint option and a Vrs spec with bit more ooommpph

Could also do with a slight stretch to back to give larger boot space.

Def sliding middle seat and a 4wd selector switch with diff lock

DAB for sure

Bit bigger boot

Has anybody tried an aftermarket DAB unit ie Pure Highway - are they worth a punt?

Garth

Heated steering wheel

opening window in tailgate (like the VW Touareg).

Internal LED display of oil level (like some Renault do).

Some great suggestions guys , im pretty happy but would like a under drivers seat storage drawer like the passenger seat ,

apart from that im content

Peter

+1

16" wheel option on SE as well as Elegance, with all season tyre option
