Finally got new Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

I read this post & thought exactly the same as everyone else - Test Drive & check it out throughly , if you like it read what specs are available, then order.

I then thought is it a spur of the moment purchase or is it a ' Grump ' complaining about everything- so I checked the profile - I am not saying anything, check for yourselves.:smirk:

How can someone buy a car without going for a test drive and asking the proper questions DOH!, however don't slag of the 105 diesel its a cracking car, agreed not the stallion which is the VRS however there's always something better to overtake you!, the problems the VRS has had are few but faults it has, lets not forget the VRS is a hot hatch the crtdi 105 is not, thats why I am getting 60-70mpg doing 60-70 I reckon the VRS will be getting half that and £20 road taxemoticon-0148-yes.gif, but what a nube not test driving firstemoticon-0112-wondering.gif, enjoy your VRS however there's already a new one on the wayemoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Sadly have to sell - 5 months old and 5k miles

Need to tow a caravan so hello Yeti 4x4 dsg

Any takers??

John

The Furby finally went to a good home today - I will miss the power and agility of the car - it was so good to drive in all situations. My lovely new Yeti has come and whilst its no hot hatch, its fun to drive AND its amazing off road. We have lots of farm tracks where I live and the Yeti copes with them without any fuss or drama.IMG_0856.jpg

Yeti looks great, nice reg too, but... The dealer sticker looks horrible!

however don't slag of the 105 diesel its a cracking car,

The thread starter's fabia 3 would have been the old 1.9PD TDi 105, a lot gruffer than the newer CR units but for some reason they feel a lot stronger, must be the way they build the torque. Same goes for the 1.9PD 130 V's the 2.0 CR 140.

The DSG does take some getting used to and the linear acceleration of the new units doesn't compare with the torque surge of the old PD diesels but there is no doubt the 180bhpTsi is much quicker than the old 1.9PD105.

Cheers

Lee

Love the yeti :)

Being fitted as we speak..... although the great thing about the Yeti towbar design is that they retract and are hidden under the bumper :D

Haha yes! I took that shot as soon as I picked her up however the dealer sticker went west shortly afterwards!! The car is slightly muckier now after a weekend exploring the local farmtracks :o

Love the yeti :)

Thanks! Its a cracker - The Vrs went yesterday but I had one last blast beforehand.... It was so quick aprt from on autobahns, I cant see the need for anything faster

How much did you sell your vRS for out of interest, and was it a private sale?

Sadly only got £12500 for it..... a loss of over £2k in 5 months. It had a few extras such as cruise, climate, alloy upgrade, white roof, rear elec windows.....

Sold it via Autotrader - tried selling it on here but didnt even get a comment never mind a tyre kicker!

I'm guessing that a Tdi elegance Yeti was a pretty penny over the Fabia.

Oh yes!! add another 10k to that! But in terms of space and technology its definitely worth it.... Couldnt justify running two cars sadly :'(

Vrstdi estate, I'm inthe same boat, I've got 2 fabia's and wifey thinks a bit much and we don't need 2 cars, I had the

elegance in jan and I've only done 1.700 miles! So she may be getting her way, I've told her to wait until the vision d to arrive then part ex both :(
