These Boots

Hello peeps

I ordered an "antislip boot liner mat tray" from Towequipe weeks ago. It turned up last week. You can find them here http://bit.ly/ezvB2B .

Unrolled, it emerged as a flimsy ABS vacuum moulding which was lovely and shiny and scooted around on the boot carpet a treat!

I was disappointed to find that the raised bit continued across the back, rendering the flush boot floor rather pointless.

When I complained to Towequipe, they said "Do you have a full size spare wheel in your model?"

I said that I have the only spare wheel available for the Yeti.

They then said "I have spoken to Skoda and they have confirmed they do a full size spare and a space saver for the Yeti."

And it's true, I now notice that Towequipe do indeed sell two diffent types of boot tray, ANTI192492 and ANTI192493.

They are selling them for "space saver" and "full size" spare wheel boot spaces.

Weird.

This one's going straight back.

I bought a rubber boot liner at very reasonable cost from the nice parts man at Crawley Down Skoda.

This one doesn't move about.

Welcome Sturmblau. You can't be too far away if you are near Crawley Down. I'm near the top of the A22. It is good to know where everybody is. There is a map thread above. You can place yourself on the map.

I have the rubber mat, it is a little big for the 'not quite full size spare' wheel, which is the best way of describing the spare wheel. emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

I have removed the platform/false floor so I have more space in the boot (and replaced twitch the correct bits) so I can use the internal bike carrier.

Off subject, I lived in East Grinstead for 30+ years and over that time had numerous cars from Crawley Down Garage, Snow Hill in the days when they had Austin Rover (remember them?) and Nissan franchises. Bertie Voller was the owner's name. Have now moved 200 miles north - such a small world.

Hi Mike

I thought I'd stuck my pin in Horley a while ago, but it seems to have fallen out.

Back in now.

I suppose my point was really about this quote: "I have spoken to Skoda and they have confirmed they do a full size spare and a space saver for the Yeti."

Just seems, err, unlikely.

And I did have in mind a "Yeti convoy" around Leith Hill, Ranmore Common and Friday Street some time, but I haven't joined the dots yet.

So many pubs to choose from!

Sounds like a good idea. We're meeting in Mogador next month.

As to the spare & Skoda, we do know that they don't always know.......

for example the RRP. We are still waiting for confirmation as to what is in it.

Hi Bassa

Just following up your East Grinstead roots.

A bit of CDG blurb from their site.
