1K to spend but what to do?

Featured Replies

Eibach make ARB's I hear, do they substantially reduce roll and at what expense in ride comfort?

Also, how much stiffer is the car after it's got the lower strut brace on? tbh, I didnt notice any difference in ride comfort when fitting the Upper Strut Brace and do you compliment each other nicely since they are different makes?

Also one last question about lowering, i'm also going to do this (I think!), how much do the Eibach's firm up the suspension (25mm lowering)? and when I say "firm", do you loose the comfort of sitting in the drivers seat i.e. have your spine shaken? or is it just more bumpy/lary at lower speeds through the suspension which you can feel in the car but not through your body?

AvRS, I feel the same coming from my Clio. The Clio was so much better on the bendy stuff, but I'm sure it's purely down to the fact that the Fabia is longer and not really meant for zipping about town.

Looking back' date=' I should have fitted shocks too. They are very stiff, though I do have upper and lower strut braces too which doesn't help. uprated shocks should help calm things down a little and give a slightly better ride.

The Miltek is about 580 fitted. Travelling all the way to JBS next Friday to get it done. :D[/quote']

if you ask nicely they will give you a before and after dyno :)

Just a shame I haven't got the Cupra intake to try too.

Are you referring to your Eibach springs? you say they have stiffened up the car too much? I thought about getting uprated shocks along with the springs too because I thought it might give a better ride as the two would compliment each other nicely :)

Having said all that if it doesnt affect the ride quality much/I dont break my spine I can't see a problem with just the springs.

One good think about the Eibach Pro-System is that I can fit the springs then order the shocks later if I thought the ride was too bad, this way splitting the cost! :)

Give it a try with just the springs first, but I would certainly consider shocks too if i was looking now.
