Great choice sadgit1 but I'd double check that hill hold - I found out that this cannot be fitted to the 3.6 DSG even though it was standard spec in the old brochure!

I believe the new brochure has been amended - check with your Skoda dealer.

Dealer said no problem with hill hold, I think the confusion was about cost. It was listed as standard in brochure but is a cost option except on smaller petrol engine, I paid for it to be fitted to mine, will not be happy if not available :wall:

I was also told that Hill Hold was not possible on the 3.6 V6 and the brochure has been changed accordingly.

When you can hold the brake with your left foot and use your right foot on the throttle, I fail to see when I'd need hill hold anyway... its not as though your left foot is doing other things :-)

Will seek clarification when I next speak to James, still need to decide on wheels  (see other thread).

Still waiting for build date and also a reply from James on another matter. Think he may not be in as he is normally quick at replying to emails.

Have Jan 2011 brochure in hand and can find no reference to hill hold NOT available on V6, hill hold is standard on 1.8 TSi DSG listed as option on Elegance models.

Hi

Just emailed James to change wheels, see my other thread, he confirmed Hill Hold IS a factory option on V6  .

He also said should have car late April, possibly before!

Good luck with your car. I might well have bought one if the vRS was an option....

I think the 3.6 V6 should be the vRS spec Superb. Best of luck with it. It'll be a cracking machine. €2100 per annum for road tax over here.
