So the new VRS doesn't have fogs then. just DRLs? Or do they double up as fogs?

No...There are no fog lights

No...There are no fog lights

So basically confirming that lights in that position are pretty much style / fashion than useful.

I've never, ever "needed" to use front fogs, they are very occasionally useful for driving along dark rutted roads / tracks and for minimising dipped beam glare, by alloing sidelight only use in proper silly thick fog. But I'd still rather have secondary lights than not just from an aesthetic viewpoint oddly!

Still haven't seen one. What are the sales figures like? I read somewhere that with the MKI, VRS accounted for 10% of total sales.

Anyone any idea how many MKII VRS have been sold?

I had a long chat with our friendly local dealer the other day and one of the topics we talked about was the VRS. He said that they were hardly selling any of them compared to the Mk 1 which was a very big hit throughout the time it was available. He thinks they need to get a diesel version out quick if they want it to be a success, but I guess that won't happen now - I would imagine that they bet big on the petrol engine being a hit and didn't spend any engineering time on a diesel version, so doing one now would be a lot of work.

It would be great though as I certainly wouldn't buy a petrol engined car nowadays - I far prefer diesel engines and they are so much more economical as well as being nicer to drive. What I would really like, however, is a proper diesel Sport model with the 105 engine. When I say "proper" I mean with firmer suspension as well as sports seats - not like the previous Sport model which just had decent seats but standard suspension. That way it would be rewarding to drive but with decent economy as well - the perfect combination in these times of ever higher fuel prices!

If you go for a diesel sport as I understand you can haver the optional extra suspension kit which is the same as the vRS suspension

That's a good point - the current brochure certainly implies that it is the same suspension which I don't remember seeing before. It makes a new Fabia much more appealing.

Of course there currently is not Sport model and on top of that no way of getting better-bolstered seats in anything other than the VRS, which is the other problem I have with the car.

Ironic that with the older car you could have sports seats but standard suspension, but now you can have sports suspension but have to put up with the standard (poorly bolstered) seats!

I've seen four so far...

Green demo car from Claybank Manchester

Blue Demo with white alloys on the Grane Road near Haslingden

White with black roof and dark chrome alloys on my drive

and finally...

Red with black roof and alloys in Middleton.

All these have been seen since I ordered my car in September...

Still haven't seen a MKII VRS on the road. Does anyone know how many have been sold so far?

well across the water here in northern ireland i have seen a total of 0 vRS on the road, plenty of ordinary fabias but no vRS .

I've seen one red/White combo vrs in the Blackburn area

Had mine for nearly a month now and still not seen another one on the road whatsoever I'm pleased to say!!

I keep seeing a really nice White, Black roof, Dark Chrome 60 plate hatch in Wallingford Oxon, saw it last night and wife has seen it today...is making me so jealous as I'm dying to thrash about in our estate, hurry up w/c 16th May!!

I've seen one in south Yorkshire and that was in Barnsley and it was parked up on a drive (Blue with white wheels and roof) and have never seen it since

i've seen loads of standard fabia's, the nearest dealer's to barnsley are Doncaster or Sheffield so i dont think many people in Barnsley know about the vRS ;)

Seen 3 round here (or 6 if you count the dealer's).
