Where are all the new VRS's hiding?

Featured Replies

Still not seen a single one out on the roads, not even a demonstrator?! Are y'all leaving them in the garage polished and shiny?

Personally I still think it's actually 2009 and the new VRS is still just a collective Briskoda daydream - 2.0 CR, 6 speed manual... of course it will be!

:p

Hi, other than the demonstrator I've only seen one in mid August turning off a6 onto a6006.

Expecting that to change though when all the orders start come thru....

I went into Nottingham today in mine, so loads saw me.

One guy on a BMW GS saw me a bit too late when he changed lanes and realised I was a bit quicker than he thought :giggle: (not even run in yet !)

I've only seen one other vRS apart from mine down in here in Wiltshire! emoticon-0106-crying.gif

I drive quite a bit, but only around Wiltshire and to the coast but naddah so far!

Ours is due for the 10K service so hopefully loads of folk have seen it?

It's a question that I have also wondered. I haven't seen one on the roads. There'll be one more from Tuesday when I collect mine !

Apart from mine and the ones at the dealership, I've seen one so far round our end.

Apart from the one at the dealer which I testdrove haven't seen a single one on the road.... :wonder:

I haven't seen any either since ordering in November.

Keep an eye out for mine though around these West Yorkshire parts - White with black roof and black wheels

Only seen one. I was driving my Mk1 vRS in Peterborough and I was overtaken by a Rallye Green Metallic vRS going very quick !!

Makes you wonder whether a small highish performance hatchback with sub 40mpg is a hard sell at the moment? Equally haven't seen any Polo GTI's. Most I've seen out of the three "hot" VAG cars is probably the SEAT Ibiza's.

I pick up mine, sorry the Wife's, Thursday

Race Blue, Anthracite/chrome wheels, Black Roof with extras

i have seen one race green black roof near highworth wiltshire hopefully i will be on the road wednesday oxfordshire wiltshire border near swindon

I think you've hit the nail on the head trying to sell high performance cars in this economy and this build to schedual/quota thing.

Also Polo GTI's don't have a waiting list, I suspect that VAG have been sort of caught out with the popularity of the Skoda after all they probably planned for the Polo GTI to be the big seller.

My mate said the same thing. His sister has bought a roomster but the dealer was saying waiting times are silly on skodas & most people are walking out of the showroom due to waiting times.

I totally agree, that sub-40mpg stings a bit

but fuel economy and road tax on the ibiza/fabia and polo are substantially better than that of the competition. So theres every reason to choose the 1.4TSi over the corsa VXR, Clio 200, mini cooper S etc. Although if you can afford a cooper S then fuel shouldnt be an issue lol

I must admit the fuel consumption figures of the Mk11 vRS did concern me at first.

But I am now doing a lot less mileage than I used to so the increased fuel consumption

changing from Mk1 to Mk11 is not such a factor. If I was still doing a lot a miles I would

have probably bought a diesel.

I picked mine up last Wednesday so there will be at least one in the Walkden/Bolton area :p It's corrida red with black alloys..

It's the 1st one I have seen also !! I have it as a company car and didn't even have a test drive due to it being the best of a pretty pish poor choice from our environmentaly friendly management :dull:

I'm glad I took the risk as I'm pretty impressed so far...It seems pretty quick even if I'm still taking it easy..trying not to go too mad for the first 1000miles or so.

Since ordering mine in December have not seen one on the road. Still living through the pictures of others on this forum :p

ah - You could be right!

Should get my black vRS ( dark chrome wheels emoticon-0103-cool.gif ) in a couple of weeks. Will keep a look out for your car.

Hi this is my first post on here. Picked mine up on Saturday . I live in Dundee and still haven't seen one.

Only seen the one non-demonstrator vRS on the road and that is owned by a fellow Briskodian! And no, I didn't meet up with him specificially to see it, I was looking out of my window at work and he happened to drive past at the very moment I was taking a short break from my strenuous and executive job... staring at a computer screen all day. :)
