They're welcome to mine - mine's useless! :D

It's one of two things:

The reversing 'courtesy wipe' (something my old Megane also did), or;

The shroud thing that covers it so it looks sort of neat and tidy.

Not meaning to cast aspersions on Seat Cupra drivers, but does this now mean my rear wiper is a target for tea leaves? As if my alloys weren't enough... :thumbdwn:

PS: I agree, it's been streaky to say the least, ever since I got the car.

I hadnt thought of that, but now you come to mention it, yeah I guess thats possible

Thought it was the design of the cover? Golf owners have been adding them for a while as well. Someone posted a link to one of the forums quite a while ago about it. Seems they really dig the octy door pins as well :D

What is this???

If you select reverse while the wipers are turned on, it will automatically wipe the rear window for you...

you put it into reverse and it wipes the back window for you :)

the rear wiper is oh so useless imho it does nothing to 99% of the window

And the 1% it sweeps, it just smears  Maybe it's time for me to bite the bullet and get some new wiper rubbers ;):D

How times have changed

It used to be that everyone wanted the rear wiper from the Renualt Clio a few year back!!! :D

I'll hold my hands up and say I am a SEAT driver with the Fabia wiper on the back of my Leon. Lots of us change it cos the original one is pants and it also looks naff. The Fabia one works better and is much tidier looking. :D

maybe we should use the leon one then maybe it will work better on ours lol

My back wiper's fine - very impressed by the huge area it wipes too.

Erm, let me think about that a second or two....

Same 'ere. What's the problem with it? Couldn't be without it to be honest. Does a fine job of removing the crap that builds up very quickly on a wet day.

Have to agree with the majority...

My rear wiper is utterly useless :(

Especially the rear wash

do you have to have the rear wiper on or just fronts for it to wipe? does the octavia do this?

Just the front ones, and haven't got a clue :D

Chris

The phase 3 Clio rear wiper is similar to the Fabia's. IE, it's in the middle and swipes out in an arc.

Quite easy to use, yes it is that bad.

Just smears the screen :D

I just do several squirts (:D) while the wiper is going and that seems to get my back window clean :D
