Hi just asked for quote for a leather retrim front seats rears and door cards, was reading the forum prices people were charged about 750 to about 850, I was quoted 950? I know vat has gone up but seems higher than most other people!

Might get some sort of discount if you mention you're on here?

Check out the dates that these people got this done, as there was a group buy a couple of years ago that got the 750 - 850 price .

Given the daft colour scheme of the seats, its still worth it, specially as they do the door cards as well, a lot of other trimmers charge extra for them, they quote seats only.

Also, remember some of those prices are donkeys years old! I'm sure they're entitled to put them up at some point!

Matt

They're also open to a bit of haggling apparently, so suck air through your teeth and um and ah a bit when you're next on the phone to them.

I paid £760 in December last year for this.

Wouldnt mind a retrim my self was hoping they would do a group buy

Have you approached Trim'll Fix It ? ;)

id be up for a group buy! in no rush at present moment.

Count me in for a group buy also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an absolute must to get rid of those awful grey/black synthetic seat covers. Just after I had these fitted Nappa leather became available at an affordable price and may well be standard now.

Yeah talked to trimll fix it 1750 bit on the steep side!! How do we go about getting a group buy sorted then?

Would love it but dont think i can justify the money at the moment!

i aint sure how we wud sort a group buy, has this been done before surely it must have? i love that leather interior above it jst makes me want to get it done even more now lol

I paid £850 'before' VAT... ;) ;) ;)

What do you think of the quality of the job? emoticon-0100-smile.gif

Andrew

It's OEM quality, no one gets in the car and thinks it's after-market, it looks stunning and improves the interior of the car ten fold. I've posted photos in my project thread (click my signature image). emoticon-0100-smile.gif

Cheers, good to know. I've seen plenty of photos, including yours, but I've not yet had the chance to be in a car with this done for myself, just so I could see what the stitching etc is like. I like the idea behind OEM+, things that look OEM but really aren't, so I'm going to look into this. I need to get hold of vRS seats or new seat foams first mind you and swap my heated seat elements over... emoticon-0143-smirk.gif

When will Briskoda bring back the 'thanks' button?

In my experience with Seat Surgeons cash talks. Know what I mean? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink!

My Octavia Vrs PD Tdi is in on Tuesday for a Complete re-trim

How to sort out a group buy

I did a few of these on Scoobynet for Trackers and Remaps:-

1. Contact the company say your interested in organising a Group buy.

2. If they are interested request best quotes or discounts for 10 cars, 20 cars, 30 cars etc. They will most likely say something like 10% off for min number of 10 cars, but haggle for a larger discount for more cars. Get it in writing!

3. Also decide on a window that the group buy fitting will be available, 3 months, 6 months etc from what ever start date. (also gives people time to get funds together).

4. Once agreed you need to open up a post on here for an agreed min length of time (say 1 month) or until you have met the required number of interested parties. Though set a close date for applications as you dont want it going on forever.

5. Once numbers are confirmed, you will need to get deposites in as there is a difference between interested parties and solid confirmations.

6. Deposits will be paid to the supplier not the organiser of the group buy.

7. When min number of deposits have been made 1st interior can be fitted.

I am not sure if Seat Surgeons will give much of a discount as they already give preferential rates to us anyway, I was quoted last week

We are offering Briskoda members preferential rates on the Fabia and Octavia.

Fabia and Fabia VRS £760+vat

Octavia and Octavia VRS £850+vat

These prices include seats headrests and doortrims fitted.

Hope this helps
