Mobile mechanic did mine yesterday £240 he specializes in cam belt and has done four for me now.

All in mine was £270 if i remember correctly...I made sure the water pump was of the metal variety also..

I'm getting mine done on Monday by a reputable guy. £300 for cambelt, water pump and coolant change.

ye i thought my local vw did but they quoted nearer 400 with the water pump, my local skoda dealer want 441 inc vat for the cambelt change, water pump is extra i think!

i got this offer too i thought it might be a trick where they put FROM £199 if it is £199 im going to book mine in

I bought for my Fabia 1.4 16V a cambelt kit £67.77, waterpump (metal) £18.75, G12 coolant £3.50) from TPS, who only supply genuine VAG parts, and good local garage charged 1 hour labour £42. Cannot recommend TPS enough for service & price, it is normally for trade but if there is one near you just pop in. Also got genuine oli filter £2.37, X4 plugs £10.76 and air filter £9.50. Some garages are happy for you to arrange the parts and as shown above you can get genuine parts same, if not cheaper, than after market.
