Ordered a Superb - found you guys when trying to Google Skoda lead times

Featured Replies

My 1998 SEAT is finally showing its age, and so, as I'm no longer a poor recent graduate, I've decided to get a nice new car (treating myself for the last time before I have children).

I'm now waiting for a CR 170 DSG Superb Elegance to get built. I found Briskoda when looking for anyone, anywhere who could give me a better idea of current lead times than the dealer could, and as you guys seem helpful, I thought I'd sign up.

Welcome to the forum, sit back and enjoy(??) the VERY long wait!!

CR Skoda's are typically taking 6 months (+) but it will be worth it in the long run, just make sure you pick a decent dealer / broker who will keep you well informed of it's progress

I had a PD delivered last March, after ordering it in November.

As far as I can work it out any VAG car will take at least 16 weeks to deliver, and can take a lot longer if you're unlucky. - That's based on delivery times of VW and Audis as well as Superbs and Octavias to our company over the past year.

One colleague decided to keep his old Audi as the wait for a new one would be so short the Lease company wouldn't do the contract (he's retiring in 2 years), and he didn't want anything else - certainly not willing to consider a skoda badge! (old codger ;) )

As long as my car doesn't fall apart in the meantime, I can wait until the end of November. I'm expecting the wait to be worth it - the jump in comfort from an ageing low-end trim distributor pump TDI (beginning to noticeably struggle on hills) to a modern one with most of the extras is huge.

My dealer's happy to put up with me calling him whenever I get fed up of waiting, and is calling me once a month to let me know what he knows. I'm being told to expect delivery around July, with April being the earliest he can see the car arriving.

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hello and welcome, and yes indeed up to 6 months is looking likely.

You can ask your dealer for your SLi number and track your car via t'internet!

Web address is: www.trackmyskoda.co.uk

Hope this helps,

Chris.
