Rang my local dealer as wanted 2 new window plastic membranes , to be told , sorry mate you have to buy them in lots and they come in lots of 6 ???? at £14 plus vat each !?? I ONLY WANT TWO NOT 6 ???? So 90 odd quid for a membrane???? how on earth do I get a new one now has anyone else had this problem .

They dont use plastic now im told they use a foam instead and you cut it to fit .

my rear door is leaking and think some is coming in this way as it had NO membrane in one door

use a plastic rubbish sac, heavy duty garden waste one and mastic it on. cost you about a fiver and no body can see it one its all back together.

go to another dealer - obviously he thinks you are too much hassle to deal with so don't give him your business

YES , you are indeed correct ! , contact another skoda dealer in the manchester area instead and they quoted me £13.57 for the front and £4.63 for the rear ! ....dont think I will be dealing with the other dealer again !

If he's a genuine Skoda Main Dealer, I should imagine Skoda UK may be interested in his `interesting' sales technique.

A lot of manufactures are doing this now on none fast moving parts.

They will only supply a minimum amount to the dealer and dealer won't want 5 of them sitting on the shelf gathering dust. Can't blame them really!!

yes thats what he did say , but why would one dealer say one thing and another say another thing??....stoopid ....best thing is the other dealer is 40mile round trip!!?????

if you use a plastic sack, be careful it's not bio degradeable or it'll fall apart over time

I live in Rochdale -Do a google search for those dealers , other nearest is halifax i think it is cost more in juice than the parts in a vrs ! lol

I got a front one from TPS in Stockport £9.80+VAT

the parts guy is trying to have your leg up quote these part numbers
