Benjiman I noticed your in bristol like myself, were did you get your tyres from? I got mine from able fit, the first lot able fit in longwell green fitted had the wrong speed rating, had a ding dong with them and had to get the brislington able fit to get the correct ones and swap them at no charge.

Cabot tyres in Totterdown - cheap enough & I like to support local independants (i.e not ****-fit)!

W rated, so defo not the issue.. Laid down a HUGE number 11 today, and that seems to have helped considerably!? I'm thinking they must have been contaminated at some point perhaps?

I hit a pothole at 4.30am on Wed. morning (I was going to Liverpool to catch a flight - had to park the car up and go for the train - made it to John Lennon Int. about an hour before the flight was due to leave so not bad going!).

Anyway, this obviously upgraded the need for two new fronts from sometime soon to immediate so called into Performance Tyres in Anniesland yesterday - guy 'phoned Continental and two Rainsport 205/45/16/W are on the way (should get them fitted on Tuesday or possibly Monday) .

Astoundingly Glasgow City Council has settled my claim in full - cost of two new front tyres (which were due for replacement anyway), alignment, taxi to the railway station, train fare to Liverpool and parking at Liverpool Airport (which I'd pre-paid and was non-refundable)!

Cheque for £270 received yesterday - a very pleasant and unexpected windfall .

Ah nice bit of good news. Pays to be determined and keep going.
