MAXIDOT NOW ON MY ORDER LESS THAN 2 WEEKS FROM BUILD DATE Dealer and SUK said this could not be done wind your neck in "unless you dont want to see car until July/Aug" my response of "OK then" was met with a reply of "pls find attached your new order form with MAXIDOT now added and confirmed by skoda

OHHHHHH YEAAAAA and STILL BUILD WEEK 8!!!

ahhhhhhhhhh my email I received on my new android tablet as I used it for first time was as follows

Andrew,

Further to your email received, it has been confirmed to me by Skoda that you can add Maxi Dot to your existing order. Skoda have done this for you, and the current build week on your car is Build Week 8 (21/02/2011 - 27/02/2011).

Please find attached an amended order form showing this option being added and your figures.

Told ya! ;)

Nice choice of font and size too

Good Result & worth having IMO

Hello

old thread I know

If you do not have maxidot, does that also mean you do not have a trip computer............showing real time fuel usage etc. ?

Slightly better than my experience in December: Car originally ordered in September for March delivery, popped into dealer to add heated seats in December, only to be told 'ah, sorry, it's already been built'. Bugger... Anyway, couldn't wait for March so picked it up 19th of Jan.

Happy with the car so far although driver's door card has been replaced already  (4 weeks old on Thursday & 2500 miles), not entirely happy with fuel consumption either - tempted to take it back so they can check a few things (geometry being my main concern).

  • 2 weeks later...

Fuel consumption will improve as the engine beds in.

Maxidot -- is it worth it? Damn right it is.

Having had a retrofitted maxidot in the hatch for 3 years, and just buying the estate without one, it's taken me all of 2 weeks to order a maxidot unit from Skodateile. The unit has arrived within a week, and I literally can't wait to have it fiited next Thursday!

I absolutely detest the look of that non-maxidot dash, having been used to seeing the real mccoy.

Mike

Defo worth having, dash pod looks a bit cheap without it, it should be standard imo. Are they easy enough to retro fit now? I remember a time when it seemed to be quite a job to do. I've always specced it on mine.
