We can do any dates ,Except,7&15 may.(or do you want a vote for just one day?)

Ian... :smirk:

Oops. I forgot to tick the "allow users to tick multiple answers". So there you go. Now you can tick as many as you want and we go with the date that most people can make.

Hi Andy

I think I saw you in Lichfield this morning, on the Bowling Green round about? I'm staying in the area for a few days.

Trev

I'd be up for this, reasonably easy on dates.

Andy

Without wanting to appear stupid (a statement I have already negated by putting up this post, I'm afraid), I can't seem to vote on the dates - I can see who voted, but that's it!

Delete your previous vote first, then it will allow you to vote again.

Any further thoughts on this Johann?.....:smirk:

OH I had had this in the back of my mind but have not done anything further with lost of other things taking up time. I will speak to Kirton this week and see where they stand and perhaps amend the dates!

Yes please!! I've been waiting for details for ages!!

Trev

This sounds great.

Any days available in Julember, think that's when my SM will be delivered!!!

Tee hee.

I'm still happy to work out a route for a byway exploration day in Surrey as there are a few lanes and it is pretty interesting. Although we haven't got a Yeti 4x4 at the moment and I have sold my own Landcruiser 4x4. I am waiting for a Yeti 4x4 DSG to arrive as our next demo!

Failing that I can work out and print out the routes for you to follow, there are a couple of tracks that in a Yeti you should only really attempt in one direction! The one in Shere for example, I wouldn't recommend going down the lane towards Shere as it is rather easy to get the tyre tread gets clogged and it is rather steep and you simply cannot stop where as on the way up if grip runs out you simply stop moving and with the ruts it will hold on the brakes.

I'd much rather take part though!

Always up for another go in Surrey - really enjoyed the last foray (and, surprisingly, so did SWMBO!).

Me too. Just found some cycling maps that have BOATS marked on them. Worked out some of the routes James took us on, but there are more......emoticon-0136-giggle.gifemoticon-0148-yes.gif

Apologies for taking so long to reply. I was waiting for a reply from Kirton which never came. Sent an email a month ago to their general address. Well yesterday I remembered and sent it to more email addresses on the site. Finally a result.

They said August 20th is free and we can pencil that in. They have a big meeting this weekend and will discuss Yeti specifics and also have a think about 2wd Yetis and how to (possibly) accommodate them. They will get back around Monday with that and prices etc.

So pencil date in and we go from there.

that sounds good to me johann.

fingers crossed.

it's about time harry got his boots dirty

Hopefully I will hear something from them today or tomorrow.

OK Kirton got back to me:

We think the best option for you is one of the following:

1) you can have the site for hire without toilets, water and any other support for £500 per day

2) you can have the site with toilets and water for £600 per day

3) we could, just for you open the south side, which is still a big site but probably more tame to suit your vehicles. We could offer you this on one of our normal weekends for £40 per day per car or £75 for the weekend. This option includes toilets, cafeteria, showers etc.

4) to have the site exclusively including. Full support of cafeteria, showers etc then £1500 per day.

I then asked:

"With the amount of people we have in mind I'd suggest the day rate will be fine for that section. If our numbers are low I don't suspect we need to have exclusive access to this area. If that is the case what will the price be per car?" And the reply:

Day rate per car only applies when we are open on a normal playday on the north side.

As a rule, the last FULL weekend of the month is normal playday opening.

So it looks like the standard £40 per car for a full day in our own area. So far we have 10 yes votes from:

YetiClive user_popup.png, StewartK user_popup.png, AndyC user_popup.png, 900000 user_popup.png, Jock user_popup.png, bilun777 user_popup.png, TJK user_popup.png, Bohica user_popup.png, Vrstdi estate user_popup.png, Agerbundsen user_popup.png

I will change the poll so we can see who can make the 20th of August and if £40 is reasonable. You have to delete your previous vote first and then revote.

I don't think our 4x4 demo will be here by then otherwise I'd love to come.

Could I join you guys even if I don't have a Yeti? I'm planning to buy a 4x4 for the Winter anyway. Kirton mentioned that there is no support if you get stuck, if I get what I plan to get I could perhaps come in useful giving tows if you manage to get stuck in some slippery stuff....?

James that sounds great! And I think it is a general get together as much as a Yeti one. So I would say any vehicle would be welcome - especially a rescue one as you suggest! :giggle:

thanx for organising this Johann,

The date should be fine.

£40 sounds reasonable, especially when you consider the cost of a normal track day.

OK so we now have only three takers including myself?

I am one of the 3,but it did take me about 5 minutes to work out how to vote again.

I had reread your instructions several times before I realised I had to delete first.:notme:

Apologies. hehehe

It peculiairly kept the first part as before and just the bottom bits changed when I added that...

But yes DELETE all your votes first before you can revote.

Hi folks

Is this event happening or not please. SWMBO wants to make plans for that weekend and I need to know whether I can get out of them by telling her I need to wash the car (but not how it's getting dirty) !!

There are four yes votes bow for the 29th. If Kirton is happy with obey four coming it is a go yes. No more takers? Shall I email them and ask if four is ok?
