Fabio Got Lowwwwwww

Featured Replies

Well finally lowered my Fabia after saying I'm gna do it for the past 6 months.

Only bought budget JOM coilies but IMO they are very good quality is excellent they don't feel much bumpier than eibach springs and they go low s it's a big win for JOM coilies from me.

Will let the pictures do the talking.

Looks good, I personally liked it with the first amount of drop a bit better. Wheels look really nice now its been dropped. Are they 7.5j or 8j?

Nice one Tas, looks awesome! You will have to keep us posted on how the JOM's fair though. Think I am going for some Weitecs when funds allow. Did you use shorter drop links? Also did you fit them yourself or let a garage set all the suspension and geo. up?

7.5J I would imagine.

Looks lovely, I have the same rims and wanting to lower mine soon!

Top work!

They are 8j all around dude.

Yeh fitted the first one on the front moved the car and was making a horrible creaking noise so I nipped n got some Mondeo drop links. Which was also a blessing in disguise as that was what was causing a knock at the front cos it's gone now lol. And were the knock was coming from that drop link was perished. Me and my mate fitted. Fronts were harder than the backs. The backs were a piece of ****.

7.5J I would imagine.

There 8j dude.

looks good

Did you get any alignment checks though after lowering it that much?

Looking real good!!

Going to buy some of these JOM coilovers for my combi next week when I get paid

You say the fronts were harder to fit, any problems or just a bit more work than the rears?

looks a million times better

seems to be running rear rake though (ass down) ?

next on your list should be some decent tires

Just abit harder. Get shorter drop links too mate.

Car looks awesome mate. One thing is after the 2nd drop the rear look quite a bit lower than the front now? It may just be the pic's angle but with the car raked back like that you may suffer from more understeer due to the suspension settings.

The car looks bloody good though! lol.. Fit some 10-15mm spacers (if you can fit them!) and the stance is spot on!

will it not 'settle' and go lower again? Happened last time i fitted aftermarket coilies.

Nice work Tas

Too low for me, But I'm old. :D I'd like to drop by 25-30mm add a rarb

and switch to 17spiders.

When funds allow. having just bought a house I seem

to have many other things to buy at the moment.

Like curtains, mantelpieces and other girly pap :dull:

Eibachs are perfect for you then. I've just sold mine to ryan90

Looks miles better!

If anything the rear needs to come up and could do with 10/15mm spacers to bring the wheel out slightly..

Looks good though!

If anything the fronts going down more.

nice love those wheels

Looks well, but i would put the front down.. Looks better nose down, Rather than back down IMO!!

Looks good that and about the same height as mine :)

If you drop the front as low as possible then the inside of the tyres will wear alot faster.

Looks much better Tas

Have you removed the adjuster from the rears???

Yeh I did. Dropped it nearly a inch extra. Lol

Cool - think I need to remove mine for the extra lows...

Looking good! I think I may prefer the Spiders, but it's cool to see some BBS splits on a Fabia too B)

Mine's currently in winter mode, which is rubbish 14'' Elegance alloys and coilovers jacked up to give a bit of snow ground clearance and traction with the narrower tyres (fairly frequent long journeys to the north of Scotland). It's sitting higher at the front than the back and looks a bit pants, but...

Next weekend, Evolos are going back on, and it's getting dropped B) Some before and after photies will be fun.

Let us know how the JOM items fare

what tints % you got on front and rear?

Unsure mate just asked for light smoke front and medium back. Not had trouble yet.
