Accessory Sun Blinds (Rear Windows) Pics?

Hi All

As i have my first sprog on the way im looking at getting some skoda rear window sunblinds as an accessory to fit on my 2010 twindoor. I just cant stand the thought of her indoors putting barney sunblinds on my Platinum Grey baby! (The Car!)

Skoda do the accessory sunblinds at 127 a pair but i want to see how they fit before i buy, Does anyone here have them and if so would you be kind enough to describe the usage a possibly show me a pic?

Id really appriciate it guys as its a lot to fork out!

I got these fitted last month. After spending hours trying to find a cheaper alternative I went for th e Skoda ones as they would at least cover the whole window. The problem with generic blinds is that they wouldn't cover the quarterlight section which is quite big.

The blinds are a rigid blind which fit into little metal clips on the window seal. Tese clips were the only fitting done by skoda and it took 15 mins. Once on they stay in place and can't be removed by a child. You need to bend it out of the clips. The windows will still go up and down so I leave mine on.

The other option is window tinting which I believe you can get done for about the same money. All down to preference really. I paid £104.30 including VAT at may dealer in MK?

I've seen these, but they don't do a set for the Estate. Tried contacting them, but no answer.

Interested in the pics and you opinion though, as they may do a set eventualy

I'm currently living in Poland, waiting to pick up a 1,4Tsi Twindoor next week.

I picked up a pair of blinds on the Polish equivalent of flea-bay for about 50 quid, the quality is good. Pics are in the link:

Maybe try these guys, they say they are shaped to fit the windows exactly and only cost £80 (GBP) for a set of 4 http://www.vanstyle.co.uk/shop/product_info.php/products_id/3956

These two are the same company, although when I ordered them for our Fabia they were cheaper through eBay than through the company direct!

They fit in exactly the same way as andybol says the genuine Skoda ones do.

I've sold my Fabia and the new buyer is picking it up on Sunday but doesn't want the blinds. As such I'll be taking some pics of them before he picks it up so I can sell them.

If no one else has done so I'll stick the pics up here so you can see what sort of fit they give (albeit on a slightly different car!)

Great find, thats a shade under £200 (pun intended) which is about the cost of sunset glass, but gives you the option to remove them if the kids aren't in the car or get a bit more light in the winter months.

I had these in my VW Touran and they were really good, sorta of thinking about dumping the sunset from my order and getting these now.

Solarplexius is a Swedish company, I've used theirs products on a couple of cars. I'm not satisfied though (rattling, and you get air between the window and solarplexius, which means dust can be seen) ... I think tinting by film is a much better option, 100% result (if performed by a REAL pro!)

Maybe as an alternative it's OK, if you don't want film, or want an easy way of mounting and removing. It's also a bit cheaper...

Here is a pic of my Superb, original tinted glass, and film on the windows of the front doors.

I got the set of windesa blinds for my combi, and must say they are an excellent fit and very easy to put on / take off, and well worth the cost in my opinion.

Have you considered tints?

Will be cheaper than £127.
