Accessory Sun Blinds (Rear Windows) Pics?

Featured Replies

Have you considered tints?

Will be cheaper than £127.

+1 for tints. I've tinted a few previous cars and will do it again. Ticked the box for Sunset Glass on the Superb I picked up today, but even so I ticked the box for the fitted sun blinds on the rear doors as the grand children will be making use of the back seats. I'd go for limo tint on the rear doors rather than add after market blinds if I had a car with nothing already fitted.

Here is a pic of my Superb, original tinted glass, and film on the windows of the front doors.

Love the wheels, what are they?

As regards to the tinting, anyone tried the diy route?

Ok so this morning my Vanstyle shades turned up, sadly the Superb is still somewhere between the factory and the UK.

Since I have a set of sunniboys for VW Touran I thought it might help to show them both.

The top one is the Touran Sunniboy and the lower the 2 part Superb one from Van style

Next, the two close up, the Sunniboy on top has a closer mesh and the thick rubber edge,

The vanstyle below has a larger mesh and is a little more see thru with a fabric edge.

Both edges are framed in metal and dont really flex much.

And the two up against some day light, Sonniboy to the right and the Vanstyle to the top.

Looking through them, they both look the same and shade the same, only close up can you see the mesh is bigger, I'd guess the van style lets a little more light in, but maybe better for driving at night.

I'm not overly happy about the rear been in 2 parts (I knew this was the case when i ordered them.) I guess I'll have a better view on this when I try driving with them in. they do store easier and come in a bag (the Vanstyle ones.) they do have little tabs to help remove them, which is good as i will be taking them out when it gets darker. (and because I ordered the self dimming rear view.)

The Sonniboys are great, and the rubber edges mean they fit in and stay in without really needing the clips, with no tabs they are a little tricky to get out.

I wouldn't spend almost double to buy Sunniboys again, but if the price was the same I'd but them over the Vanstyle ones as they are better made.

I'll let you know how they fit, when the ferry comes.....

I'm not going post links to the sites, thats been done before.

I had the 2 piece rear on the Octy and it didn't cause (me) any issues.

Good write up though, thanks.

Holy thread revival batman!

:giggle:

Just a quick one, who are Sunniboys, I can't find any reference to them on the internet anywhere!

Looking at the pictures above I prefer the look of them to the Vanstyle ones as they have the thick rubber border just like the OEM blinds.

On a similar note, on the Vanstyle website there is no mention of window blinds for Skoda, do they still do them!?

Yeah, saw them, but the rear screen blind is only available for the estate, nothing for the twindoor :'(

Yes, sorry - just found the other active thread!

Like the look of these depending on how easy they are to fit and coverage

Ha, had a set of these on order for my wife's Pug 3008 since early this month.....and still waiting! Good luck if u go for these, they have not even responded to an email!

I went for a set from Windesa Blinds....expensive but a superb fit and a one piece rear window panel, with no join line down it.
