Hi Folks,

After ordering on 31st August 2010 my shiny new car is now on my drive  . Its a Fabia Elegance Estate 1.2 TSI DSG in Rosso Brunello metallic. Not had chance to take pics yet as when I finally got out of dealers it was dark  . Just been pootling around and have now put her away in the garage (after sitting there reading and playing with all the different goodies). Can't wait to take her out again tomorrow and hopefully take some pics and put them up.:happy::happy:

As it's the Elegance spec I didn't need much else, though I managed to blag mudflaps, rubber mats (for winter), rubber bootliner, spare wheel and underseat storage

Yes, thought they looked good with the colour of car, harder to clean than the Elba but better looking in my opinion.

Stunning estate, love it

Looks good- Rosso Brunello isnt done justice in the brochures, but looks cracking in the metal.

Roll on 22nd April when I get mine

Same colour as mine - even same wheels mine came from the dealers with! Although mine now looks very different!

Think its a good colour for them although I will say its an absolute sod to keep clean - gets dirty very very quickly but suits the Estates well.

Yep I`ve got the same one on my estate, looks fantastic........er when its clean...which isnt so often these days but it is a lovely colour indeed..Happy motoring

Thanks for all the nice comments, just got to keep it clean and sparkling now  , must admit I've had quite a few people asking me the colour as it does look better in the metal( and there aren't a lot around), so glad I picked that colour.

Thanks again for comments.

Happy new car!! I like the fact you've opted for a similar colour. I'm guessing the GLXi was the top spec model in its day? I wonder if there are any parts carried over to the new model ;)

The previous to the W reg was an R reg Felicia 1.6Glxi with identical wheels but pre facelift front and first with power steering fitted. Hot Chilli Red was the colour again. Glxi was one off the top.. Slxi with dual airbag but sans glovebox was the then top of the range.

Not sure of any carry over of parts...badges look similar. ;)

Also, out of interest... the dealer sequence reads; Hadwick, Harniess, Horton.... further to travel at each change...

We've ordered the same colour/estate but with the 1.6CRTDi in an elegance spec

waiting on them actually deciding to build the bloomin thing

My visit to the dealers was only for an initial look see and I was unsure whether to go for the estate or to stick with a hatchback. The marginally longer estate could have replaced our second car, my fathers old Vauxhaul Astra. Then I learnt that there were some hatchbacks available in 1.2tsi 105ps Elegance spec' but no estates...I think a 4 month build time was given for them.? So this focussed me on the hatchback once more and an enquiry was done ref' my first choice of colour and spec...and it was available ex stock...just over a month from order.

Clive.
