Standard Map Rolling Road Results

Featured Replies

Thats why i've not had mine mapped yet would rather wait and save up the cash to get it to stage 2.

when i got it rolling roaded i did questing the fact that it was putting out the figures but there were other cars there modded cars there that were making there expected figures.

might be getting it on a different set of rollers in two weeks so that will give me another figure to work against.

Quick question mate, I noticed your from Ardrossan, any rollers you'd recommend round about this area?

On skylines and supras they were quoted at 276bhp......change the restrictive exhaust and tuners were seeing an extra 50hp on top!

Although that 276 figure was a "gentlemens agreement".

The 276bhp thing was widely flouted. I had a 1999 Legnum VR4S from new that was reputed to be 276bhp but actually put out 315bhp when it was put on a rolling road in 2000. And some of the numbers I have seen bandied about for standard Skyline GTRs make that 35bhp 'lie' look small-beer.

R32 GTR where actually 276bhp

R33 GTR said 276bhp but Nissan later admitted the average output expected should be 302bhp

R34 GTR said 276bhp but completely standard models where caught putting out 325bhp,

these aren't dyno readouts from tuners, these are figures quoted by Nissan in 2004 after the public believed the GTR badge to be dead and therefore saw no shame in owning up.

Furthermore, i read a article a few years back about the R34 engine(RB26DETT) having to be down-tuned to 300bhp from standard to compete in some semi-professional racing leagues in asia with 300bhp output limits.

I wish more tuners would do more before and after map runs as a lot of these cars are making close to some mapped ones. I've seen a lot of people happy with 160bhp after a map etc...

I think on the rollers I used for 240.1bhp a standard vRS ran 150bhp.

how can the egr set up make 20bhp diff when it doesn't operate under load?

IIRC there's more to it than just the EGR placement - I think the BLT has a throttle body arrangement (as found on petrol injection engines) within in the anti shudder valve, when the ASZ didn't. Or something!

I got that done at a guy called Henry Roy's which is just outside dreghorn.

My big brother said the best place to go is there or extreme motorsport, just off junction 4 of the m8, if you are willing to travel.
