Mercedes 230 Kompressor Coupe

Featured Replies

My mate from work has one of these, how would a Fabia vRS (standard) fair against it (rolling start)?

Stats - 190bhp & 260NM, auto box

Very similar. I once went straight on at a roundabout onto a dual carriageway when a 230k pulled out in front of me from the left, so I had to go into the outside lane to avoid and pass him. He put his foot down.

At *** mph I was 3 car lengths in front.

Octavia 4x4 with 220bhp.

Don't believe the '190bhp' official figure. The C320k is also a cracking little car with the extra power.

That compressor really makes it go like stink - and they work very well :D

I can definately vouch that a mapped Furby, leaves 1 severly peeved owner with a soot soaked airvent , having had 1 unsucessfully try to read the small print on my number plate, and the vRS badge on the rear of my car. :).

Steve

been neck and neck out of the gates of the m6 toll..... he would have blown it up rather than let me in front....

 - that's coz you ain't got that star ;)

Chipped or Standard mate?

My boss has one it sure is a hairdressers car and to drive it (its pants):D basically.

... disagree. C180, C200 not enough power. C230 and C320 both go well.

C230 Kompressor isn't a bad car at all and as above, goes pretty well.

my uncle just bought a c180K, don't think he's interested in chipping it though

Just looked at an Autocar roadtest of the C230K from December - it beat the 325i, Audi A4 2.0T and X Type Jag.

Quotes:-

- Punchy with excellent throttle response

- Superb gearbox

- Exceptional composure

- Really absorbent ride

- Masterful refinement

- Has matured into a brilliantly well-rounded machine

It won. Not bad eh.
