The infamous Warrington yellow VRS for sale

Featured Replies

Just spotted this on pistonheads. Has been talked about a lot on here but the owner has never really come forward I don't think although rumour has it he is a member. I've seen this thing go and it is QUICK! Overtook me once near me... Sounds good too! If anyone is after a ready sorted VRS then this may be for you!

By the way I don't know the chap who had this nor do I know the garage so I'm not meaning to advertise just thought it would interest people :)

"POSSIBLY THE FASTEST VRS DIESEL IN THE UK" fail. :D

Same mods as me and a host of others, yet, nearly 20bhp more and 100lbs more?

lol.

If it's so infamous, how have I never heard of it?

There's been quite a few mentions of it, from when it was magazine featured, to a recent thread where someone saw the most recent dyno print out whilst at awesome gti and there was mucho speculation about the torque figures. Maybe awesome can advise how it is running so high??

While it may not be the fastest VRS in the UK, surely it must be up there with the best of them? Devon and Warwick obviously joint top?? :p

Meh, doesn't answer my question, and I'd agree with you about Jason and Warwick Hunt's cars probably being the quickest :p

Torque does seem to be implausibly high mind you.

i got 376lb-ft torque on a stage 1 map

clutch lasted 2 weeks of my ownership and the car at 37k miles from new

Nice looking car, I can't make out if the crash bar has either been removed or cut ?

that car has all the mods i want and more plus i've always had a soft spot for yellow cars. should i just sell my car and buy it. :smirk: Lol

Told you it had 440 ft/lbs. :giggle:

Do it yourself, its more fun. Plus i dont even like that one. The big grille is just about the worst mod for a fabia imo

£7250 o.n.o??? Seriously? :wonder:

I've got same spec/figures with similar mileage + best ever vRS private plate (even if i do say so myself) and I would not expect to get near that sort of figure :S

Well, I suppose it's worth what someone will pay for it. Good Luck to seller.

for mine i was expecting the price its up at on ph... around 5500 - 6000

Plate fitment seems to obscure the nearside foglight? emoticon-0112-wondering.gif

I have seen this around locally. And it moves quite well :)

Awesome's rollers do sometimes over-read for torque though, I've found.

I raced this down at Warrington (private test track of course) in my old red Volvo 850R, certainly went well and the chap that owned it was a proper sound guy, getting on abit in life he was aswell.

440ft/lb... I really wish we could see the car on AmD's rollers to see how it compares because that's 120ft/lb more than I have.

Cars that make torque lower down the rev range, make bigger peak figures. :) Mine's "only" 380 lb/ft but because it makes it 3500rpm peak, its actually more (as torque is a function of RPM) than 440lb/ft at 2000rpm.

:dull:

i suppose that is the whole point in moding cars. i would rather pay slightly more for a SE anyway.

just noticed its had a price drop aswell

I for one, would be ****ed off, if I bought a car, which had X amount of power/torque, but then proved to only have Y amount of torque/power.

Only, if X > Y.
