too many white ones being ordered!

Mine is White. Did go for black but managed to persuade the mrs about the White, plus it's £400 cheaper

hopefully about 2 weeks and it should be here.

i would have liked yellow to be honest as i think this is rare but i wanted one that was already built so white for me.

My wife quite liked yellow.

I mentioned it to my dealer to see if he had a yellow one anywhere we could look at.

He came out with the following:

"I only have two rules when dealing with customers.

First, the customer is nearly always right.

Second, never sell a car that you wouldn't be prepared to buy back in.

Please, don't buy a yellow one."

Spoke to my dealer today- my car is still at Emden where it has now been for 10 days.

He reckons that there is a ship due for Friday so it should be on that (although he can't guarantee it).

If it gets shipped at the end of the week he thought we could take delivery by the end of next week or the start of the following one.

just an update for those who are interested still. SUK are telling me its at Emdem and the dealer are telling me its in the UK! Apparently the dealer will call me on Friday to let me know which day it will arrive it Bristol. Now which info to go on? I am more inclined to go with SUK as they have been right in the past where my dealer has been quite wrong.

Basically no update guys, I shall post again on Friday with hopefully good news cause its in the 4th week since my build week.

if there is one on friday then hopefully they will go on that.

no update from me other than as mentioned on monday.

i cant wait to use that DSG in the way it is meant to be used! I expect I will run the engine in for 500 miles or so before really testing it though. its going to be oh so very tempting to thrash it straight away!

i had dsg in a vw jetta, and it was good i ahve to say. i have went for manual though which will be weird as i have had 4 autos lately but i had a manual in a boxster so wanted to go back to a manual for the driving experience of the car.

have to say though dsg was best auto by far.

my CR has only got just over 300 on it in the last 2 weeks since I got it :( need to take it out and get it run in nicely so I can "plant it"

I have been told by a few that modern engines don't need running in. As long as you don't thrash it on a cold engine then it should be ok. Still I will probably run it in a bit. Can't wait to drive it, I didn't even test drive it, just knew it would be better than my mk 1 which I adored.

Ive not run mine in only done 60 miles. Collected it yesterday and already had a few blasts in it.
