FWIW, I called SUK yesterday. Build week 12 (actual build 22 Mar), arrived at Emden 31st March...sadly still there. This Thursday marks 2 weeks at Emden so I expect some movement this week, since it was depicted to me that 2 weeks was the max wait for a ferry to UK

I'm so busy at work and all I can think about is my 2.0T engine with DSG! Sleepless night indeed, feels like I've been waiting forever! 24th jan I ordered. Glad I dint go for a diesel. My wheels getting coated in anthracite on 18th to really finish the look.

yeah i am in same boat. really really busy with work which is good but cant stop thinking about getting car so feel i am slightly distracted.

Probably about 4. So far away. At least in Bristol traffic I will have DSG. I have asked them not to clean it so they don't ruin my paint, do it myself on Saturday. Spent £100 on products!

Mr Hankey- I spoke to Skoda UK today who informed me that my car was shipped today. I suspect yours will be the same.

That's been at Emden for a minimum of 18 days considering it was built in week 11.

They said it should be at the dealers within 7 working days so that takes us towards the end of next week.

Then they got to pdi it and if like mine it will wait at Grimsby for a while. Mine took 10 days from Grimsby until pick up. I almost went to dealer today just to look at my car sat there waiting for me. Didn't wanna torture myself though

just the waiting now, trying to take my mind off it but i just saw a white one today parked at falkirk stadium with black wheels and black roof. was nice, defo doing the wheels and tints.

put some pics up on sat once you have cleaned. be interesting to know what you have purchased.

the dsg is good. i had it before and its a godsend in traffic that is why my previous cars were all auto's but dont do as much city driving now.

I bought megs shampoo, carlack, sonus clay and lubricant, collinite and a decent mitt and towel etc.

just spoke with skoda uk customer service, my car is still at emden and they have said could be another 3-4 weeks :(

not sure why it was not shipped as it was there already.

yeah i thought it was long as it has been there since march 17th but skoda said that it was still there for some reason. making me wonder if it has maybe been given to someone else :(

here it is. To be honest I dont think the black wheels are required, it looks more sophisticated with the silver and I often drive my family around so im sticking with silver.

lovely car mate, i have been thinking about the wheels for mine also whether to ahve done or not. i was going to get the wheels and tints but at same time dont want to look like a boy racer.

Dealer phoned me today to say it is at the Port at Tyne (so it's in the UK!).

Just waiting on a transport order to get it brought up here and we should have it by the weekend!

I think the wheels look bigger in silver as well as the wheel just seems to blend with the tyre in black and you can't distinguish the alloy easily. I am converted to silver wheels, and yes look less like a boy racer.

good new for you Stevoraith. unfortunately i heard from my dealer this morning and he said it is still sitting at emden. seems that orders placed before are taking priority to be shipped which is fair enough. to be honest cant wait to get it but at the same time i am not paying for a car right now so saving a bit of money every month at moment which is good.

Nicky boy i have to say i showed your car to the wife and she has changed her mind about the darker wheels to the silver.

only thing i might do is tint the windows a bit more but not too dark.

plus i would feel bad doing that to the wheels on a brand new car they look gleaming.

and in a year or so's time you could change wheels then and it would kind of feel like a new car then as it would change the look rather than doing now if you got fed up.

anyway nice car mate and glad your enjoying it.

Showed an A6 who spent their money more wisely today when he was trying to boot it. It was lovely to really open it up, overtaking was a dream.

still running mine in, but I can already feel Im missing the 322lbft from my 2.0 TDI!

You got petrol vrs daz? I thought the torque was lovely especially as the dsg drops it into a high torque area without fail. It even felt ok for acceleration in fifth

yeah petrol mate, its not that its lacking, its very good for a 200hp car in fact, but its just the 2.0 TDI i had ran 122lbft more in the mid range, which had a mighty (although short lived) shove of grunt!
