Tyre Life

On the downside Denis, aren't you supposed to change tyres in sets of 4 too ? awwwwww :)
NO! The Haldex takes account of differential tyre wear, unlike many other 4X4 systems. :D

PS I have been advised that the BMW in question is a 325, and that the 200SX will do 147mph.

:worried:

I know, maybe I could remove the air filter and gain an extra 1.5 mph top speed :D

while i hate to mention the topic of tyres and tyre wear.... :bullwhip:

Done nearly 40K, changed the tyres on front twice (heavy right foot) and rear once.

Front's are I think, Pirelli doo-dah's, as Firestone F700's was on them originally.

Rears are Avon ZV1's, which have a nice looking tread (I know aesthetics are hardly a consideration, but hey, they grip well and are doing grand.

I can only find a receipt for the front set,

14k on sp3000`s being binned 19/01/04 and changing to 225 45 17 goodyear f1`s thes are supposed to be the b******s.still they are pricey unless you work for a tyre copany like me :smirk:

i will post my views on these after fitting

by the way avon zz3`s will never wear out...no good tyre but a bit to hard for the vrs....we are major stockists of avon and use them on subaru trackdays

Phil

I've had Eagle F1s before and they're as soft as clarts. Only 8k out of a set, but stuck like **** to a carpet.
