Which model is this ur talking about??

The Fabia 2.0's figures go like this from the test i did...

1st gear - 62 kmph/6200rpm

2nd gear - 100kmph/6200rpm

3rd gear - 150kmph/6200rpm

4th gear - 170kmph/6200rpm

5th gear - 220kmph/6000rpm

1.6 kilometers is 1 mile so if you understand it better in miles, do that math :D

But look at the rpm, Autocar really did take it to max revs by going to 5100. I never thought the VAG TDI's could rev to 5100rpm.

The gearing in my pd160 is also a lot different to the 130pd Sport, it can just about reach 100 in 4th.

Either way its not important seeing as its pointless for us derv drivers to go up to max revs. Max power on my car comes at 4000rpm so I would usually change up a shade after that which also brings it back into the middle of the powerband again. IMO its a waste of time going beyond that.

Fabia VRS i was talking bout,

The two figures i got were at bout 5000, the car did stop and wouldnt go any further, but from a performance point of view totally pointless.

That's nothing. Maclaren Mercedes tested their 2007 F1 car and it did 0 - 140 mph and back to ZERO in 8 seconds. ;):D

The real reason I posted that was because these 0 - 60 - 100 etc threads for the Fabia are sooooo long in the tooth. They always end up as an argument about Skodas, Seats, Mini Coopers (shhhh) ;)

It's only a Skoda Fabia after all.

P.S - Mine will do 0 - 60 in 7.1 seconds :D

lol I have the original vRS octavia road test and it coes out with the crazy quick time of 6.5 or less seconds.

However later in the year they did their annual 0-100mp challenge and as the vRS had proved to be so quick they put it up against the Scooby .... my my they thought that the vRS was a totally different car as it couldnt beat 7.89 seconds.

They came to the conclusion that for an Octy to get the original speed it was the 225bhp engine as the acceleration times 0-60/0-100 and in gear times were near identical to the TT 225.

Its not the first comp to do it and not the last.
