My 2004 Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

Here is my pride and joy. Starting to get neglected by the previous owner I am restoring it to its former glory. I have had the spoiler resprayed as the laquer bubbled. It is standard and the moment apart from a green panel filter and sound deadning jacket. I have plans for it though. Sorry about the over cast day.

Here she is just autoglymed :

I know I need to do the weeds lol but the VRS comes first.

What reg is she? I didn't know they did the VRS with pre-facelift rear lights :wonder:

Clean looking car

Seen your other thread/s not sure about the handle's, its a polibility as the mirrors are the same and many other bits. Good luck with whatever you come accross.

Ross

Nice standard example!

Needs lowering and some nice wheels to finish it off, what plans you got in mind?

Thanks for your kind comment's chaps. She is a 54 plate only done 4500 miles. Not sure about lowering because there are too many speed bumps around here but the wheels definatley need something. I was thinking of maybe black like your's Ad Lav or maybe a gun metal colour like on a megane 225. Any recomendations are welcome thx. ;). Acually looking at my pics again and then your sigs, i must lower it. I cant affort coilovers though, but have always liked Bilstein shocks since I had them on a previous motor. I guess powerflex bushes too. Handles need spraying. Im not going for a remap yet but would love to get the front mounted intercooler. Leather seats from a limited edition would be nice! and I am determind to get a little bit of real carbon fibre in the cockpit too. My wallets gonna hurt :D . I was thinking this colour for the wheels :

54 plate with only 4500 miles :o it's barely moved all it's life !

Looks nice and clean though but it should be with only doing them miles.

4500 or 45000? :)

If its 4500 that's bloody low! Hope it had a cambelt change anyway at 4 years...

If its 45000 its still very low!!

Wheel colour is a good choice, or you could try some nice BBS alloys ;)

Makes a change to see some pictures of the vRS standard. As the previous poster has said, if the cambelt has not been changed then its well overdue as it should be changed every 4yrs or 60K whichever comes first.

It sure does, looks nice standard - just put mine back on standard wheels (still on coilovers) and it looks weird now, so used to it on 17'' alloys!

Nice to see a standard one. I'd keep it that way.

Thanks guys I may well keep it standard then. Sorry it has done 45000 miles lol, my bad. I will get the door Handles colour coded though.

Ever thought of something different with the wheels, Maybe dark bronze?

Lovely wheels Ross. I do like the dark bronze and the VRS carbon center caps are a must. A Cambelt change is on the cards sooner rather than later as is a new clutch and DMF. I had better do some overtime :p .

ROS53EY wants my BBS wheels? :D

ROS53EY wants my BBS wheels? :D

No he doesn't :p He just wants his car back with a bigger turbo than it left him with B)

I didn't wash mine for a few months and the amount of brake dust that built up on the wheels made it look like they were powder coated nicely just like the first megane!

A cheaper alternative perhaps?! :D

I decided i would have a go at colour coding the handles myself but did not want to remove them, so I bought a set of golf five crome ABS handle covers and sprayed them myself properly. I am really pleased with how they look and like the way you can still see a little bit of vinyl along the tops. They fit perfectly. Total cost was about £30. Paints used where Holts skoda diamond double acrilic, halfords grey primer enamel, halfords clear laquer enamel. The weather has helped being warm. I think I my have excelled myself!. My neighbours said they looked factory which was the intention. Polished with Autoglym Super resin. Comments appreciated, good or bad!.

Thanks Ad Lav m8. Does anyone know if removing the front number plate holder is easy?. Should this fit the front ok? :

http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=33249

It looks a little thinner and not curved like the ugly original item.

You'd have to put your number plates in that and screw that to the surround... will get a pic

After

Different car to mine (bottom) but you get the idea!

Excellent looks smart. So it bends to the body shape as you screw it in. Thanks again m8  sould be a doddle. Although there are two srews on the Vrs number plate so different to the seat fitting.

Edited by RAPTURE

Should be fine, it'll bend round the plate holder easy. Mine used to be held on with double sided sticky tape no problem then I switched to the Euro Holder
