Not a bad price indeed! By far the cheapest surely!

I can recommend Streetwise in Bristol. They recently did all of the following for £600:

Cambelt

Water pump

Diesel filter

Pollen Filter

Air filter

Oil change

(Full service)

Air con re-gass

MOT

Was quite happy with that, and it only took them a day.

it all depends what engines your running, theres nearly £100 difference in cambelt kits from the standard 1.9 tdi to the diesel vrs

A week or so back I got a quote for similar works from streetwise (no MOT or air-con, all the rest of it though) of £700. The dealership (Blade Skoda on Feeder Rd) wanted £820 for the same works. This was for the 2.0l TDI 140 PD though.

Just digging this old post up that i started a while ago. I finally got my cambelt done at Motorline Dartford and to be fair the price was good for a main dealer.

I got an MOT test, brake fluid change, cambelt and water pump for vrs tdi all for 391 inc vat. Can't really fault them for that money, dunno what you guys think.

Might be helpful if you mention where you got it done.

Edit: nevermind, didn't notice date. Damn you thread dredgers! <shakes fist>
