I still might be along to this but can't say for definite. I can tell you now that the car will probably be filthy as the weekend before is going to be a rather busy one!

nah, i'd prefer a trackday, rather than 1/4 mile :)

The tuner who will be present is REVO Technik in conjunction with Wallace Performance of Aberdeen.

http://www.revotechnik.com/

http://wallaceperformance.co.uk/

There will be special price remaps available on the day for anyone who may be interested in having their car tuned by the best in the business

This is a great chance to run your car standard and tuned, back to back on the 1/4 mile to see the difference some software would make to your car and take advantage of a one off special REVO offer in Scotland.

Can those who may be interested in a special price remap on the day please list their interest below including the Make, Model and Year of car below.

Cheers

Al

I had my Fabia RR'd at Wallace Performance the other month.

I have heard nothing but good things about them! ;)

UPDATE:

The price at the Scottish SCN show will be £100 off all engine software, this will exclude DSG software and upgrades (Stage 1 to 2 etc), this will be limited to the show day only.

An excellent deal for those who want the best software at the best price

Example - MK1 Fabia VRS £199+VAT rather than £299+VAT!

Roll up! Roll up!

Nope. Just organising a good day out for people.

well i was gonna be taking my MK3 Estate GTI to this but i doubt that will be running by then so ill take the octavia.

do you need to contact wallace directly or will me wanting a map in here be enough?

Let me know your interest, car, year and engine code, and I can put it on the spreadsheet for them.

Cheers, i doubt i will get it mapped then Revo are horrendous power spikes to aggresively then tails off quickly due to heat soak.

That is not true.

The best/smoothest plots on 2.0TFSi's like yours have been on a Revo remapped car.

For sure, the spikes can be attained through horrendous settings by people looking for what they think to be the best settings for high power, but being fair, I have yet to see a bad plot on a 2.0TFSi on Revo code (or any other code being come to think of it).

In reality, if you run settings like Boost 6 Timing 5 and Fuel 9 on stage 1, you will have a fast car with good power, excellent plot for progressive power and a torque curve that is more flat than spiked.

The beauty of the REVO map is that it can be adjusted by the user if they have the controller box, but if you go with the REVO recommended settings, the statement you made above will be very incorrect indeed.

Ok fella sounds good :D

Skoda Octavia VRS, 56 plate 2litre TFSI Engine code is BWA

Guys - This is getting close now.

Really hoping we can muster lots of Skoda's to this meet - Would really be great if we can get to see a good lot of them on the 1/4 mile :)

Also, the REVO offer will be for that day only!

Sure thing. Cars can go on the grass one time only though.

Quick update - hopefully this will get you Skoda boys more interested!

REVO have put up a prize for SEAT's and Skoda's - Fastest non tuned Skoda/SEAT over the 1/4 mile on the day will win a REVO remap :)

Non tuned means no engine modifications/remap/air intake/uprated fuel pumps/uprated downpipe).

Cat Back exhausts, uprated suspension and non standard wheels and tyres are fine - as long as the car is road legal . This will cover all Skoda/SEAT cars in attendance, so minimise the weight of your car, get your tyres at the correct pressure etc :)

Let battle commence :)

Well Just checked the tyres are in decent nick.

Now to wash and wax it before sunday

Can't be letting the Skoda side down with a dirty car.
