Golf Gti Mk5 312mm brakes?

Featured Replies

Been offered some Golf Gti Mk5 312mm brakes by a mate of mine, who has upgraded his.

Question is this, will they fit standard 16" vrs alloys?

He's offered it me all, pads, discs, carriers, hoses.

You need mk 4 not mk 5.

Wrong brackets, PCD of the discs etc so as above, no.

Excellent, thanks for the advice, I'll keep looking for some then, cheers again

Unless you go that little bit further in changing all your bits on all 4 corners to the mk5 pcd (112) instead of the standard pcd (100), then your options are open for all different types of mk 5 & mk 6 alloy wheels!

Eg. Mk5 golf monza alloy wheels 17" or dare I say 18's. :) just a thought.

You can't really an axles hubs and bearings etc are all different.

There's at least 3 sets of 312 calipers and carriers on ebay atm!
