Happy Easter to you too, but i'm afraid it'll be nearer Christmas before i can show you a picture of mine...

happy easter to you both,

and everyone else with a SM

How discriminatory and divisive is this thread title?

Outrageous - this isn't a million miles away from what Warren Mitchell was like all those years ago

If I read the grammar correctly it is a statement, much like a headline that Yeti people are happy at Easter  .

If there had been a comma ie "Happy Easter, Yeti People" it would have been a salutation to Yeti people and I agree it would have been divisive, by excluding the salutation to all non Yeti peoples.

If there had been a comma, ie "Happy Easter Yeti, People" then it it would have been an observation to all peoples about the psychological status of the Easter Yeti- like the easter bunny this is a figment of imagination and compasion would say feel sorry for the deluded soul who thinks the Easter Yeti exists :o

I am sure there are other combinations- I suppose at the end of the day the OP was just trying to convay some goodwill on a bright and sunny morning- am I getting too deep in analysing the message

I was tempted to just ignore this but I won't.

I've had an Easter card from a friend who is a humanist, I have been wished a Happy St George's Day by a friend who is Irish. I wish Asian colleagues a Happy Eid at the end of Ramadan and I respect everyone's wish to follow whichever religion they wish or not as the case may be.

Divisive...not intended to be.

Outraged...yes I am actually that my good wishes should be turned in this way.

Forgive me Brimma if you your comment was tongue in cheek.

John

We are all Yeti people at heart..

We are all Yeti people at heart..

How wrong can you be?

And to the OP, my comment was to some degree tongue in cheek, but the Yeti fraternity in the main on here do tend to move within their own little clique, with little acknowledgement of any other members of the Briskoda community

That is only my opinion of course

Happy Eid, Easter, spring festival or whatever you want to call it, Skoda owners but Yetiist in particular.

Don't worry about Brimma, he's only jealous of us! :giggle:

Thanks so much Llani, you've just proved my point to a tee

Get it into your head once and for all that I am not, and will never be jealous of any Yeti owner, especially you

Your level of misplaced elitism knows no bounds :dull:

You Yeti guys will soon be the new Audi guys on here :D

It's all just jealousy you know :D

And just to show that I don't have a problem with your Easter wishes, can i say Happy Easter to all the yeti owners too

ps Bri, where is your response to their wishes? It's rude not to return them :dull:

Royal wedding? 1649, 1793, 1917 ... they knew how to treat 'royalty' back then!

Bri,

if you don't like the fact that we Yeti owners have a little "community" of our own, then so be it, but why do you have to continually snipe and criticise us? You don't find us going into other groups and having a go at them. In no way are any of us elitist, we just like our cars for what they are. This is the way Forums work.

Can I politely suggest that if you don't like us then you ignore us and don't post here, or do some of us need to make further complaints about your behaviour?

Happy easter one and ALL.
