Week 16 mate. I called Skoda customer services and they said it was at Grimsby and they could see that the dealer had already requested a transporter for it. Might be worth ringing them instead of the dealer?

From what skoda uk told me once the car is in the uk it's best to ring the dealer as they have more info.

On top of that it's apparently out of their hands when it actually gets put on a transporter. Naturally I'll be checking all this with Skoda on Monday and I'll be getting a bit stroppy if it's sat in Grimsby for more than a week - it's that close I could pick the bloody thing up myself.

called in at dealers and got my cars reg should have it very very soon

Apparently mine has made it into the UK and is at the port awaiting collection. Dealer says this can be slow but thinks it should be with them some time next week. Not sure why mine is being slower than others, but it suits me as I'm snowed under at work!

cars arrived today so picking it up on Friday after work so i have the weekend to play cant wait

Mine is sitting at the dealers - all i am waiting on is the cherished transfer to complete and im good to go - hopefully should be able to collect thursday/friday....and as it happens, SWMBO is off on holiday on friday night for a week and i have the week off...... lets see how many times me and the car need to stop for a drink as we tour the UK hahahaha

I had to ring they dont seem that good at calling back

It turns out that because the salesman I bought from is on holiday until Thursday they won't be doing anything to prep the car until he gets back so it won't be ready until next week now.

I'm hoping I can finish work early enough to get down there and explain that I don't give a toss who is on holiday and it had better be ready by the weekend. If the arseholes don't sort this out I'll be tempted to name and shame (although it should be fairly obvious from my location who they are)

Enjoy your cars guys mines confirmed for build week 20 so hopefully i'll be in the same position in 4 weeks time. Just hope it dosnt get knocked back at the last minute

If its confirmed they can't change it so you'll get it in 3-4 weeks from being built

Yep I was told it was confirmed for week 20 last week but you hear so much about date changes I'm not to sure. Hope it dose arrive by then I'm off to Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswolds in 6 weeks so it will be good timeing.

just off the phone to the dealer, despite telling me i could pick the car up as soon as the cherished transfer was complete I have been caught out by the "date of first registration" which is the 14th (the original pick up date so i suppose i cant moan too much) soo.... Sat is now the day to look forward to... not sure how much sleep I will be getting between now and then.

Last time i was this excited i was 8 and being told i was going to Disney World!

Ding - i may have asked you before but where did you order from, It seems rediculas that week 16 builds are bieng delivered yet our which were build week 14 arnt?

I think i will be calling Skoda Uk and the dealer tomorrow and kicking up a stink?

My week 16 build arrived at the dealers on Monday. Despite the dealer claiming they had no idea when it would arrive, Skoda customer services told me that they could see that the dealer had already requested transport. Phone skoda customer services first to get the correct information then use it against the dealer when he starts lying to you

Jenks - mine was week 16 build, dealer has been excellent so far and car was transported from the dock (Tyne) to dealer within 3 days.

I would give skoda uk another courtesy call and perhaps point out that you are getting further frustrated with the lack of progress being made and the fact that people with build week 16 are now collecting their cars.

I can understand dealers wont sent a transporter for just 1 or 2 cars, but surely if its been sitting a few weeks they should be arranging something for their clients! tell them to pay for your transport to Grimsby and you will collect it yourself!

After a slightly heated conversation I will be signing for mine tonight and collecting tomorrow. The delay is partly due to the order of "black pack" parts which I will be going without now to make sure I have the car asap.
