Roof aerial for Fabia

Featured Replies

I have recently moved to a new house and yesterday tried to put the Fabia in the garage. It has one of those roll-up type doors and the Fabia's aerial fouled on the bottom of the door. Getting a new Fabia estate soon and will want to keep it in the garage. I have looked in the accessories brochure but don't see any replacement aerials available.

Does anyone know if a shorter aerial is/will be available for the Fabia?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I got one off ebay for about £6. Hardly stands up more than the roof rails.

The bottom is flat, it's not tapered like the original one so you get a small indent between the mount and arial.

It doesn't bother me as you have to look closely to notice it + it works fine.

That's why I posted a close up picture. :p

I have a OEM Polo Ariel on ours... sits fine

Will post photo when get in

I've bought short aerials from Ebay because our Fabias' aerials caught on the garage door also.

Spoiler on a roomster ? Why

Got the same as CT17 and they are ok and of course cheap.

Will these fit the roomster as well because I'm fitting a rear spoiler and it might hit the areial.

Yes, they have the same thread.

I've not noticed any difference at all.

Bear in mind the Fabia also has an aerial built into the front screen too for better reception so it actually works fine with no aerial on the roof!

Is there a technique for removing the existing aerial? Mine just keeps turning.

You should be able to just unscrew it. The threads inside it might be broken , then you have to pull it up gently while you unscrew it.

Good luck!

It unscrews until it is nearly out, then just spins. Very strange. I thought it might be an anti-theft device.

People here doesnt care about Antitheft . They riped my Antenna of including cable and everything alse whats on it .

always Fun to see early in the Morning

fUu.jpghow about the one from the Polo 6R?

I like the aerial from the new Polo.

I tried to get a genuine one but the VW parts bod said they only come with the base @ £180.

I believe the 2012 MY Fabia will have a shorter aerial as standard?

na you can order it seperatly , costs about 10-15€
