Whats happening with the group buy???

Check the group buy section and stick your name down if interested mate

I'll be putting my name down soon. I'll also be ordering the unit and mapping the car myself with the sts. One thing though, where do you connect the sts unit? I cant seem to locate the OBD port in the car? I might just be being stupid but I havent had the car that long, any advice would be appreciated

The diagnostic port in your car is near the bonnet release handle under the dashboard

Hi shark,,

I was after some advise before i put my name down i have a 2.0pd 170 vrs, would you advise the map and sts, or would i need to have the DPF taken off??

I can answer that one for you having asked the same question. You do not need to have the DPF removed, so all good news! :)

I want one but have no money . . .

Plastic is my friend, put it off till next month :)

Haha me to. Mrs hit the roof when I told her.

Lol @ Nicky. I wouldnt feel so bad if I hadn't just written off a tyre and took a chunk out of my alloy on route to Devon, but have wanted a remap for a while so it's tough. I just hope I can get another crappy nexus to match the one Nissan put on for sub £50 and have a go at fixing the alloy

Anyone with Hastings Direct and know what the extra cost in premium was ?

This is impossible to say .... your details are unique to you, but typically if a remap increase power output by 10% then expect to pay an extra 10% on your premium etc.

Will call in the morning now I'm home from holiday

I would be interested if the savings were reasonable. VRS TDi PD 170.

Check gatsbys post above for the link to the thread daz

I am seriously considering this. Might jump in before I miss out. Need to run it past the insurance first.

Just called Adrian Flux. They quoted a laughable £1400 additional premium for my motor to have this remap. That's hinders my participation in this somewhat. Glad I didn't put my name on the list now.

Real shame. :(

I assume there is a legal obligation to inform insurance companies regarding this?

You should but plenty of people don't. I don't condone it as it does invalidate your insurance if they were to prove it was modded when you had an accident.

Crikey edd that's just insane! Admiral quoted me £1400 total which I shall pay. Maybe next time

I would defineatly be interested. I dont need the STS as I only live a few miles away. But a discount on the remap would be nice. a mate of mine is thinking of having his Seat Leon TDi done too.

The group buy closed at 17:00 yesterday unfortunately
