Selling my 2002 Fabia

Featured Replies

Looking for some advice

I have now owned my 2002 Skoda Fabia for nearly four years.

And due to getting a job, which I get to using the train I have decided to sell.

I was wondering if anyone can give me advice as to a guide price for my vehicle.

My car is a category D, and having bought the vehicle from a panel beater, this would not be evident to anyone who hasn't been told. Another reason I have decided to sell is due to the repair costs despite my lack of driving the vehicle.

I have suffered the problem of the door leaking as with 2002 models, and took the advice to cut back the carpet as a means to remove the foam underlay which had become ruined.

Other than a broken rear windwiper, and the front bushes having slight ware. The car is in actually very good condition and only has 47000 miles on the clock.

Would you be able to give me any advice on pricing my vehicle, webuyanycar would be an option, but I would be looking at max £400. Looking on autotrader this model with more mileage is going for around £1500, which I cant see as realistic.

Any advice would be great

Hi thanks for your response,

It's 1.4 mpi Comfort

About £1500 is right, my other half paid £1200 for our MPi over two years ago.

£1500 even based on the damage above

Your problem is going to be the CAT D record on HPI, the car may look excellent but that permanent record is going to put a lot of people off. I would be very surprised if webuyanycar would consider it once they do a HPI check and it shows up, same with selling to a dealer, they will most likely offer you very little or not want it at all.

Thanks Manny

Webuyanycar actually quote £500 even with the Cat D, without it goes up to £800,

I have no problem selling private, and will let them know up front about the CAT D.

Im more interested in a guide price based on the problems already with the car. Confused as to the pricing on autotrader, as they seem very high.

I would take £500, but webuyanycar, tell you a cost on the internet and then reduce it when you get there
