List of After Sales Addon's

Recommended Posts

Don't know what you would call them but some of you was talking about the dealers doing things to your vrs like :

Beep when alarmed, auto lock when at low speeds...

Someone talked about there is a list with all the options on there, if anyone has a link or it and could pass it on that would be great.

Thanks

Rob

Rob, some of the things that can be enabled you will not get a dealer to do, the large MPH digital display for one, many of the other things most dealers are pretty clueless about and they will tell you it is not possible.

Save yourself the hassle and get someone with VCDS to enable what you would like doing, some of the things that are possible on newer cars (not saying they are ALL available on ALL Skoda's) are:

Staging (needle sweep when the ignition is turned on)

Anti hijack (doors lock automatically when a certain speed is reached (IIRC it's about 20MPH)

Alarm beeps

Fog lights for CH/LH lights instead on xenon's

Large digital MPH display

Seatbelt warning deactivated

Selective / all doors unlocking

MPG display calibrated

There are bound to others that I have missed off.

Am I missing something... but why are the auto locking doors referred to as anti hijack? Surely a stationary car is a target? Unless Usain Bolt is moonlighting as a car thief :|

anti hijack isnt such a big deal in the UK as such things rarely happen but it prevents an oportunist thief from opening the doors or boot from the outside whilst stationary; gives the driver an oportunity to drive away before other attempts can be made to get in the car. Its a good feature.

What vag com cable are you using.

A 16pin OBD II style Data Link Connector To USB then into laptop ?

I have a full HEX+CAN (it's me and my dad's as we both have Skodas) - USB. Proper Ross-Tech one

Talking of VAGCOM type things?

I've done the following to mine: -

Quality....

When mine goes in for a service I'll ask them nicely if they'll switch on the auto lock and remove key to unlock features. The wife is forever forgetting to lock it when she get's in.
