Help! I'm having a colour crisis

Featured Replies

So I have ordered my 1.6 monte in red - partly because it looked good in the brochure, part because my alfa is red and I quite like it and partly because it didn't cost any more money.

Thing is, I do a massive motorway mileage and the red alfa gets very grubby very quickly. I nearly went for the met grey but didn't, and I think it was the extra cost that finally swayed me.

But now I am not so sure. I have ordered all the other extras I wanted so now think I may just be being tight over the colour.

What does everyone else think is nicer - red or grey?

Red

It can be seen. Grey is invisible :o

+1 gray is invisible on a dreary wet road.

I say grey..

If you do a lot of miles, the color will hide the dirt. Also i think i looks good in grey.

Bgds Dan.

Stick to red but just keep on top of cleaning it B)

Grey is just plain boring.

Plus it's probably more difficult to see the car as it's background/road colour so somewhere there is probably a statistic that you're more like to have somebody pull out on you or something... maybe... :giggle:

These days there are too many white/grey/black cars about. It's like looking at black and white pictures.

Be more interesting, go for red! B) (plus it's cheaper!)

CT17 your car is white and you bought it from factory!?!?

so you admit u bought the wrong colour car then?? hehe

you can see defects more on red (swirls, scratches, stone chips)

lighter colours show less defects and swirls

Red the way to go it`s a very nice colour B)

Yes and no! :D

I really like white on the Fabia estate. It suits the car a lot.

But it's also rather common. Our Yeti is red though.

I bought mine as a fleet vehicle, 90% of our vehicles are white. So I ordered white.

But then when it arrived I liked it so much I kept it for myself.

I still say grey or red... go for the red.

I like red :)

Yellow ;)

Yellow ;)

LOL

RED , another biased opinion ! :D I saw silver in the flesh before I went for red and it looked ok but the Monte in red is very striking.

It has to be red for a Monte. Red cars go faster surely?

Also if you do have to clean it a lot at least when you wash a red car you can see the difference and so it's more satisfying to clean. They polish up nicely.

I've got a grey trafic van & a red monte, both colours seem to look dirty pretty quickly. Stick to your red monte they look great

i went for red , grey doesnt stand out as much.you can see the body kit on the red more ,and its easier to keep cleen, but the grey is more unusual so thats a good point ,xz
