Its still blooming doing it

Featured Replies

i popped down to tesco tonight, pull up into the virtually empty carpark, lock the car ,go into the shop buy some coffee ,bread a big tin of soup for my flask tomorow.

i pay for it and wander back out to the carpark, and as i start to walk to the car i notice it,i stop and it comes to me why i bought the car in the first place, even though its covered in a bit of road grime,it STILL looks awesome.

sentimental fool ????

:D Sad isn't it :D

Still doing it here. If I drive it to work, I have to look back at a few times as I walk away.

Same here ......own up...... we are all sad

I deliberately parked my black one next to a silver one in the car park today. Deep down, I'm hoping they'll get it on and produce a baby vRS that I can nurture and look after and give to the missus once it's grown up! ;)

I went out to the car park last night - walked towards my car, pressed the fob button - and the car next to it opened :D Some comedian had parked an identical one next to me lol.

Going off on a tangent .....you just made me think.....what's the sex (male/female) of your car....might be worth starting a poll on a new thread.....where's William when you need him :D

i know what you mean jason, every now and then it surprises me how good they still look.

mine is coming up on 4 years old, fine its has very low miles but it still looks great and almost new!

I have the same sentiments for mine. Only had it about 4 weeks now but I still look forward to every second I get to drive it. The Octavia is a lovely looking car.

i havnt had mine since wednesday lunch time....i miss HIM so much....i popped out of bed this morning like an excited school boy on christmas morning..knowing i was going to see HIM this afternoon all services and with a new exhaust... i bet HE aboslutly flys!!

It's what they call "pride in ownership", I think! Enjoy it, it's a thrill that lasts........

Me too.Not had a car where the pride hasn't worn off even after a year.Used to last about two days with a car and wouldn't think about it after that.

My silver octy is stunning :D (IMHO)

Had my Octy vRS for three and a half years, and still not fed up with it. Used every day for work and gets to fly down country lanes very early in the morning when nobody else is about.......Total joy.

Left work today, and headed off down Portrack Lane in Stockton (for those who know the area.

Passed thru the roadworks which have been there since 1956, when i noticed one of the guys working (yes..they actually were !! ) tap his mate on the shoulder, point at the car and say something, the last word of which was clearly "Skoda"...

I'm still not bored with it, and it still gets a lot of positive comments. :)

It looked nice in the Prison car park the other day, parked next to a nightFire Blue Superb TDi :D

Yeah still look back whilst walking away... and yes i know its not the vRS...... but just the general looks of the octavia.... still something about it compared to other cars.

I usually park it on its own in carparks so it stands out. Only exception to this was half hour ago.... parked it next to an Estelle in tescos....... from the coffee shop i can confirm 7 people went and looked at them both, pointing between them.... hilarious, i can imagine what they were saying "oooh haven't they changed" or "they're better now"

i look back at least twice every time i park the car in any car park. i used to look back at the Renault but its not the same as Octy. its worse when the cars clean too, i often walk round it to make sure everythings ok and still sparkly.

i've parked next to other vRS' in car parks before as well, dont know why i do that, just feel compelled to for some reason.

i was at the supermarket the other night and a guy in an estelle or something was driving past the car and he stopped to have a good look.

i've also had a nice chat with a guy in a car park about them, he'd got a yellow RS, as he drove away he shouted "happy driving"... kind of sums up the whole Skoda community thing i reckon.

And I suppose when you lock the car and walk away down the street or whatever you have a quick glance over your shoulder just to check it's still all nice and lovely.....

i will say that I do park next to a skoda wherever possible - my car has a twin that is obviously owned by someone working evenings in Tesco........ actually its' quite sad that I've just said that LOL!

My favourite hobby is parking my Octy next to a VW Bora :)
