Hiy there chaps and chapesses (?)

When i bought my 2000 octavia 1.9 tdi glx it only had one key with it, which has a tiny useless little torch built in.

My question is... can i buy a 3 button remote fob, have a keyblade cut for it and get it coded, or will this simply be a waste of time and money.

I know there is probably some info on here about this issue, but so far, i have not been able to find it.

You can get the system from rclick in the UK. They sell on ebay for about 40 euro. Fitting is required. See thread "Retrofitting Remote Locking Fitting Guide".
