That's the trouble now with most companies. No customer service what so ever. Once they got your money they not interested in you. If I was in your position I would record the phone conversations and send the recordings to skoda Uk. I still amazed how these companies still trade with there reputations

What do Skoda say about their pdi checking? surely its a basic thing they've missed so what else have they not checked correctly? i'd demand a full reassurance check from another dealer, maybe even independent

its Skoda's (factory) and the dealers mistake, their the ones checking it all out before you take to the road so for them to have an attitude is totally irresponsible and very unprofessional, some may say its only wheels but id say its bloody obvious yet they missed it. after all their the experts and should know what their doing

My thoughts exactly :)

It's funny you know, I work at a mountain bike shop and the one thing we work on more than anything else is customer service, this is through staff training on both product knowledge and sales technique. We only deal with suppliers that can be equally supportive to us so that we can carry out the level of attention our customers demand.

I think the motor trade has built it's self around a culture of keeping the customer at arms length and only giving enough information away to make a sale, I am hoping that my local dealer will live up to the reputation they are meant to have but I do think it will fall short of the level I work to in my job.

customer service is the most important thing in a business these days. if you not got it you will not get your customers back. we are a small company and have expanded the company over the last few years in a middle of a recession. if there is a problem we sort it out straight away and we never had to advertise at all. car dealers dont seem to get it-they will argue over the cost of something minor and they cant see it will cost them in repeat business. if my dealer treats me properly as a customer i for one will return agai in 3 years time for next car-if not i go else where.

I had to use them a few times for warranty issues with SWMBOs Leon, whilst they weren't a complete bunch of (insert choice of expletives) as Ryland were I found it was easier to drive to Caldicot as I actually got decent service from the dealer there.

Sounds like White Dove haven't improved since I moved away and probably not in the last 10 years.

I'd be tempted to send them a letter / email with a link to this thread in it just to show them how much their poor attitude has cost them. I lurked on this forum for a while to guage peoples opinions of skoda before i parted with my deposit and having seen this thread i'd be going anywhere but that dealership. how many other "lurkers" that may have been going to go there have been put off. Sending them the link may be the kick up the arse they need
